Which template is better?

I've answered my own question.

Is it actually possible? For a Pierce NS template to have
25 con overcap and 400 hits,
10% melee speed,
heat and melee resists at 25% or above,
SoM, GoV, Ring of Dances
+11 to Critical Strike, Piercing and Stealth,
1 env swap for +11 envenom.

And at least:
10 / 10 of str / dex overcap,
8% / 8% of melee / style damage increases,
44 quickness (ie. within 10 pts of luri quick cap),
25 AF.
It is possible :D just...

  • Uses Golden Spear main with Dochar Nightshade Steel
    Able to swap for Legendary weapon with gloves change.

    And artifacts used: Guard of Valor, Shades of Mist, Ring of Dances, Eerie Darkness Lighting Stone

But I also came up with another template with 3 stealth lores and energy wep.


  • Uses Sun weapon main with Dochar Nightshade Steel,
    Can swap for Legendary weapon again with gloves change.

    Belt of the Sun, Guard of Valor, Shades of Mist, Eerie Darkness Lighting Stone, and also Goddess Necklace, Shades of Mist, Ring of Dances for 3 Stealth Lores. Bloody hell, 7 artis, so yeah, this one has lower util reflected in less hits.

Is an extra stealth lore, 25 more AF and ability to do Energy damage with 2% more melee bonus good enough to give up the ~250 hits?

3 stealth lores ?? first u dount count som stealth lore.. couse u use the shape change :p

that leaves 2... rod is good enough and u dont really need more. try and mix those 2 together and mybe u can get a better result :)

Well according to neffneff in another post you would want to sell your own mother for a stealth lore in 1.82. (so they have less chance of getting remedy off) but yeah I'll try to mix ok :)

3 SL is a fucking great thing, BUT u will have way too meny damn timers that u will go crazy becouse of it

i have 3 SL's 2 DA charges,malice battler,af charges in gear use it allt tbh and its not a fuzz stop being bad !

The resists are very nice for a shade, except the body resist. You don't need more then 26- (minus) the heat vulnerability on leather, which is 15, and that means 11%+ in the other resists. Cold is even less important since your armor is resistant to it. That way there will be no additional advantage from using another damage type than heat on you.

i wouldnt use either of them, but would lean towards teh sun weapon one i believe, but then....the hits are shit in it.

imo...start again.

I've dropped the 3rd SL and tweaked it so there's a 120 hits loss instead of 250, body, energy and spirit are 2 pts higher each and Celtic Dual is capped now. I'm happy with it. Slight melee speed loss but the sun sword swings at 1.5 still :cheers: However.. there is one thing, my body resist is still not capped, I have the option of capping CD or capping body. Guys what do you think?
