Yes but you're still wrong.

a) The upper limit for the number of shrooms in an area is 100, no matter how many anis are there.

b) Each animist can only summon 16 shrooms. So 2 = 32 and 3 = 48. To get 100 up, you need 6 anis.

Leaving aside your lack of specific knowledge about anis, I can see how it would be quite annoying trying to operate in a courtyard with even 32 shrooms up, if noone is mezzing or killing them.
