Where to buy an x box

Wrong forum, I know.

I'm quite interested in buying an x box with splinter cell and halo soonish. I want to have a look around for prices online but the only place I can think of is game.uk.com. Oh and gameplay.

Anyone got any ideas where to buy console bundles for reasonable prices?

I think you'd have a better time stabbing yourself in the head with a screwdriver than having an xbox, but at the moment with it being xmas and all, there's obviously a lot of value to be had. Might not sound particularly uber for console stuff, but toys 'r us are always advertising packages for all three major formats in the papers.

The main reasons I'm interested in the xbox are:

Splinter Cell
Halo
Dolby Digital on above games.

150 quid (which I think it should cost) is a lot cheaper than getting the upgrades to my pc that I will require to play these games.

I love T'RU. They advertise their PS2 bundles for £250 as having 5 TOP GAMES!!!11`. Problem with that is that they're all old and/or shit.

Well considering you're getting JSR & Sega GT free with the basic shitbox bundle atm anyway, you're getting Splinter Cell & Halo for £40. Game are doin the same deal atm, minus the steering wheel.

I saw an xbox bundle at my local pc world with halo and splinter cell. Didn't see the price, but I imagine its around 160 ish.

Just a little tip if you didn't know. You will have to spend another £20 on top of the purchase price in order to get an Advanced Scart Lead that will give you a standard TosLink optical out for pure Dolby Digital.

JSRF and Sega GT 2002 are included in the price of the xbox now... it's possible to buy one without if you get an old one... but it won't save you any money... so why bother....

good point, who's playing on Live at the mo?

aside from the starter disc, the only other live enabled game I have is ghost recon, but with the headset tis teh r0x0r. Am thinking of getting mechassault soonish, is there anything else decent on the horizon?

Btw whipped, did you know that if you rent MotoGP and unlock all the maps/etc you can ride them with just the xbox live cd and the motoGP savegame on your harddisc? Helluva bug for Microsoft to miss!

Yeah, I just saw about this on another forum I think I'll still buy the full game as I enjoy playing the championship mode in single player. But your right, this is a it of a bad oversight. Lets hope they release more demos that we can upgrade with rentals
