Give it a a week or so Tuorin and <Zerg> will provide Hib with 6 ideal groups meaning there'll be more chance of the chars people need being around ;)

actually, some things Coren say here is totally valid and I agree on some points, about the route to Emain for instance, 90% of hibs take the same way over and over again to amg etc and thus run into 2-3FG's of Sotl and LoE and die occasionaly since those guys are the ones that always have balanced groups with mach5 all the time and quickly can cover a large area of Emain and check up spots that Hibs are known to pass. One problem is this, to cover Hibs entrance to Emain and report incomings can be done by 2 persons, no more, no less. To avoid getting spotted is nearly impossible if the Albs and mids uses good tactics with scouts. We seldom have the manpower to take Amg and hold it for some longer time before we get zerged, only thing we really can do is sneak in and hope we go unnoticed into Emain, after that check the regular Alb/midMG's and report in what we see with scouts, and this leads where? Either we can attack or leave it and move on, this is what we need to do more of imo....

However, it really depends on which guys are out RvRing, Tuorins grps never camp anything at all afaik, only for (as he said) rezzes and so on, moving around and using guerillatactics is what we try to improve since we mostly are outnumbered out there. Give it some time and we get some more people in the roll and it will be better RvR in a while I think (at least I hope so) from Hibbies. I have seen many many bad examples the latest weeks of what we _not_ should do.

I am no uberplayer in any way, I am still learning to do what my character is supposed to do, but general common sense seems to be lacking sometimes from many players in all realms. I miss discipline and teamwork many times, these are 2 keys that wins battles, just have to get people to understand that ;) Dont worry, we'll get there someday (I hope)...

And Falcon, bringing in a new bunch of 50's might be good, might also be bad I think (can lead to more headless <Zerg>ing which imo leads nowhere), we still need more _skilled_ players with tactical minds to play RvR more and teach others how to do it and pray to god they listen someday, Hibs are terrible at paying attention atm and go somewhere organized is a pain, there always seem to be people disagreeing and loudly saying so instead of just following orders, there are hoards of idiotspammers that cares more about to hear their own voices in the /cg's and have an opinion about just about everything. These things are things that make leaders loose faith and stop caring about whatever happens in the long run. Think more about how to improve this instead of bringing in a big bunch of highlvls to RvR would be a good medicine for hibernia i think. My point is, if a building is broken in the fundament, the building will fall nomatter what you do to the buildings exterior. Good stable guilds with lots of RvRtraditions where the younger ones learn from the old cunning ones is a good way to go imho, this is somewhat what GoS is trying to do now. If <Zerg> is built on this idea, fine, It's nothing but good then. I have noticed you have some idiots in <Zerg> already though that only is looking for a fast way to lvl up I guess. This is not a flame towards <Zerg> in any way, I just try to point out some general problems we in hib have atm, I might be wrong, maybe I am right, who knows....

sorry about the ranting...

Did I ever say that I were over average ? no.

maybe cuz ppl tend to twist what ever you say, maybe cuz what ever you say, aslong as it's daoc related, is a whine.
cuz ppl sit here and flame anyone that spend more time on daoc then themselfs, maybe cuz ppl sit here and talk about things that they apperantly dont know anything about, maybe cuz some ppl already made up their minds about me and it aint nothing thats gonna change about that.

Most mobs you encounter in HW are grey at lv50, and only a hopeless zerger would run into anything else.

Well of course there're 200 Hibs in Hibernia. It's their realm after all!

How good is it to use aespells with loads of greycon mobs around ? cant greycons interupt you ?
have you seen the mobs in Pennin ? it's just not enough mob free areas for good fights.

Im sorry that I said 200hibs, I will use exact numbers from now on since you cant see the point anyway.

I guess your fairy = piper.

Can I say 'lol'. They spawn in restricted areas, much like the mobs in Emain. Anyone standing close to the pipers will know about it, before your mezz hits.

Emain has mobs also, from grey to purple. After a while, you get to know their positions and avoid them, HW is much the same.

Admitedly, Emain has the best layout for big fights, but RvR can be done and is just as fun in other frontiers. The point is, you cannot complain about zergs, without doing anything about it.

If you want to lose the zerg, going to another frontier is the best solution. You'll have a few RP-free minutes, but you'll get a response soon enough.

The pipers( cant remember there names tbh ) spawn in areas where your likely to run past.
Emain have mobs yes, but not the same amount, and not in the "fighting" areas.
Then we have Pennin vs Breifine, Pennin's design could provide some very interessting fights, excellt landscape for ambushes etc, but the mobs are a problem, most hills are "camped" but yellow - red con agro mobs. Briefine got an nice open landscape with some ability to hide, there is agro mobs yellow - purp, but those areas are rarely accesed ( with exception of Bloodletter and Earthshakers ).

and I belive I can complain about zergs, since I never run with the zerg, I run with my group and we are independent from the zerg ( most complains in our group are about the Alb zerg rather then hib/mid zergs )

I've tried to go to Odins but mostly amg is camped there, unless you go there between 5am -> 12am

Well, you guys often send in the Albion "Zerg" (not that we play in zergs anymore) on suicide missions to let your group get a good chance to wipe all mids/hibs when they are without end and low on numbers.

And I do understand that you have to complain on the albs if they actually kill the mids without you guys getting any.

(The reason im writing this is because im tired being treated like a minion)

Either we play all fg's by themselfes or we dont. If we do then we cant have a emain cg.
/me vote for all fg's by themselfes in all realms.

yes, ofc we tell the alb zerg to camp mmg or mpk, so the mids have to make a zerg to get outside, so the chance of us being able to get good small fights are eliminated.

I see what he tried to say, it's all dreams of the perfect emain where his 4fg's can run around happy and farm rp's all day without any risk of dieing.

Xorta...

I've been running in emain 95% of the time in 1 or 2fgs for about 7 or 8 months. Most if not all combat in Emain prior to August was 1 or 2 fg and immense fun. Albs were uncommon especially midsummer and imho Mids held sway. At some point maybe around July time, all 3 realms started to "zerg". Esp after 1.49/1.5 arrived Emain became home of the zerg for most. During that time even Hibs zerged often.

About 2 months ago we ran several weeks of 2fg rvr for maybe 6 hours a day, we meaning usually me n Slayn, Saxif, Toird, Edlina and others. Always away from the main forces and largely successful. We made a killing. Hit and run, constant moving non stop, looking for stragglers, fight, in and out.

Albs, woke up to the marauding groups by having 50+ people in emain. Even Mattshanes was laughing telling me 78 non anon Albs in emain. We got many batterings trying to avoid the zerg, but got a few kills with hit and run as always. I recall 3 or 4 nights when there was 6 or so fg albs emain AND odin's.

Now, and I have given you credit and respect before in previous posts, SOTL and LOE rvr a lot and it seems in smaller groups. they fight well and I enjoy fighting against them.

Unfortunately the current situation is stupid. Everytime we scout Albs in emain and attack, before we have finished theres another 20 attacking us.

So basically at the moment its more fun not to rvr. I remember only a couple of weeks ago killing a fg of Albs at AMG and setting off immediately. We were attacked from both North and South directions within 5 secs of killing the FG. Fluke, bad timing, no it happened every single time we went emain for a week.

Bolg is camped 24/7 by stealthers, by the time we get to one of the hills we are attacked. So we figure let you get bored daft until some sense prevails or we go elsewhere. We may do emain run, but everytime we get too many, /release /q.

So... at the expense of being boring we've been doing the 1/2 fg stuff for a long long time and right now, with many good players retired/fedup/deleted/bored/alting its not the fun we would perhaps like. Hell even Mids are rarer in emain these days.

Many times I've considered quitting the game, its possibly only the time played and the rps gained that have prevented it.

One day two weeks ago I counted 41 Albs in clip that were in cloth. Thats after engaging 3 fgs with 2ish at the tower.

Odin's is much much nicer to fight than emain, as is Hadrian's, especially Hadrian's as 2 or 3.

TBH we are lucky that pryd\hibs dont know what they are capable of...

Sadly, Hibs are just.. predictable

you guys getting boring...

Just a few quotes there. not from the same person i dont think. Anyway shit like that pisses me off. Your giving us this we're better players than u bullshit. And why? because we cant hold our own in emain.....the realm with the lowest population that is simply being out zerged there. When u die in emain, finding reinforcements quickly is so very easy when u can just port there. Running to emain, even with hasteners takes far longer. I just dont understand what ur expecting us to do? Own it because its our realm? Keep going back for more and more when we're being constantly out numbered?

So just to answer these quotes i've picked out.
1) ppl always say that hib is the most organised realm in general across most servers coz of its population problems. im sure albion could kick a lot more ass if they got more organised.
2) im barely ever surprised by my enemy and what they do. to claim that hibs have worse tactics than the other realms is simply ludicrous. The only time albs ever surprise me is if they actually ATTACK while we hold the amg. The most predictible thing about albs in most hib eyes is that they'll run away.
3) sorry, ill try and rally the troops together so we're all as exciting as the emain zerg.

The original point in all this was that hibs were camping odins? i like odins, i can actually find some 1v1 fights there. Theres seldom more than 2fg there for any prelonged period of time. 90% of all the hibs i know hate emain atm, and nobody goes to HW. so its either odins or nothing. unfortunately alot pick nothing atm.

just dont give us this superiority bull

yep dook, I agree, valid points are thrown aside totally and nobody cares to listen... well well, nice to see that the zergingmentality found its way into this thread aswell, you know the one where everybody just wanna win and dont give a shit about the rest... discussin?? wtf is that? we are allowed to talk a lot of BS here since its BW right? Since its BW we cant discuss here, its obvious.

Typical thread on BW atm goes something like this

step 1. Someone start a thread about something, valid or not, doesnt matter.

step 2. we now enter the phase where some people want to whine a bit.

step 3. oh rejoice, now some other whiners whine about whining.

step 4. some people analyze some parts of somebody elses post and point out all errors.

step 5. in some cases somebody puts in a perfectly valid post with a decent logical view of something (note. step 5. is optional)

step 6. some wiseass starts picking apart the valid posts in puny parts and thus wins something with this (dont ask me what the winner gets) and call the valid post stupid or silly or something based on loose quotes picked out from the post. (this is ofc also optional, if step 5 occurs step 6 applies, if not proceed to step 7)

step 7. other wiseasses join in on the party and hacks down on the silly person who dared posting something with some value innit, shame on you sensible people out there.

step 8. this happens sometimes if the thread aint taken over by idiots that troll BW. The original poster of the valid post does a comeback and tries a 2nd time to get people to actually understand what he/she meant. However, this battle is already lost somewhere at the moment people clicked on the BWicon on the favourites or something similar to connect to the wonderful world of idiots that BW actually is. (i generalize quite heavy here)

very creative imo and I really admire (not) you all that actually lay down a load of work on your posts that makes absolutely no sense and have no meaning at all. Perhaps I have done it aswell, who gives a shit anymore, this is BW right? Keep on owning each other, maybe some day it will end up in something sensible that actually can improve Daoc for us all, I really doubt it though.

/em sighs and walks off

ROFL @ a SotL tank whinging about being "zerged". I see 2 people in your group SF, the other person is dead, and you still have all your buffs... buffbot lamer. :flame:

I don't go Emain, because 95% of the time there's either a Mid or an Alb zerg. Most of the time there are 2-3 2FG Alb groups moving around.

Emain is for zerging. There's no strategy, meaning no brains are required. We often go to Odin/Hadrian's with 1FG. We then kill a <8 member group, who then bring 2 more FG to kill us. But we still fight there, because they're not a zerg, and there's lots of area for movement in those two zones.

Emain rules:

1) (a) If Hib, check brains at Bolg.
1) (b) If Mid/Alb, check brains at Portal keep.
2) Follow the rest of the herd. :m00: :m00: :m00:
3) Camp a MG until bored.
4) Check the other MG.
5) Camp a PK for a while.
6) If really bored, go take DC.
7) Get Zerged or Zerg.

Simple. Can't believe you guys are actually ASKING, nay almost BEGGING people to come to Emain so you can zerg them.

Priceless.

so camping amg odins at 3am are strategy ?

maybe your way of playing Emain dont include tactics, but that doesnt mean others dont.

Although I believe the main argument is about Albs who zerg Emain. Even talk off running in small groups is invalid, because once enemies are spotted, every other group will be there within seconds.

Nope. In fact, I admire a LOT of SotL/LoE people. There are a handful, that I do, indeed, not like.

Take you, don't even know you, so how can I possibly "hate" you?
Most of SotL are good players, who have learnt to play well together over many, many months. I respect a lot of what Gideon did, but in every guild, you find bad apples.

I stated elsewhere, that I don't enjoy playing against set, experienced teams when I'm grouped with people randomly. Ask Verata, from Hib/Excal, a guy I've know IRL for a few years, I never enjoyed playing CS against his clan on free-for-all servers. It simply isn't fun for the random groups.

So in closing, no, I don't hate your guilds. I just do not like the attitude of some, that almost demand people to fight on their turf, on their rules, against their set teams.

Oh, BTW, if you could check the logs, you'll note that when we cleared SotL off the hill outside Dagda tonight, 95% of the fight was my guild group against yours. :m00: :flame:

Funny, but here we go.

5 of us went emain tonight about 1am first trip of day. 1fg Albs amg. Attacked they ran Alb side, to 3 more Albs. Killed all of them at the doors with aid from camping shades, came back bard speed 1 sec after and moved away only to be zerged from both south and north trees by 2 fg each side.

What complete utter bollocks.

I don't even play in hib, yet I guessed their reason for avoiding Emain and declared the typical Alb-'we run in 1fg only'-response as false.

Not that you needed any proof, but the Hibs who have posted here say the same.
