Well, camping odins gate at 2am gmt is kind of sad, no I'm not whining because we 3 got killed, but you guys could do some serious damage in emain. Let's face it, what do you have in amg/odins? Do you lot /shuffle 1 and play cards? :p

Really, cheer up and bring your forces into emain, was it zerged or not, you stand a chance! This server = boring without hibs soon.

ps, that wasn't all they had -_-

yea, group of 10 hibs could have been fun in emain tonight,

there were loads of albs in emain but no real zerging, just full groups running around trying to kill as much as possible

hehe except my group that had a really laggy cleric that took 15 min to run from amg to mmg so we were pretty much pinned down =)

hmmm... maybe, just maybe, they don't like Emain zergs and are trying to take the battle elsewhere?

If you ever left Emain yourself, you'd see there're quite a few battles fought in Odins. Mostly between Hibs/Mids, but the occasional Albs wander in aswell.

Keep it up you filthy luris, say 'NO' to Emain :D

+ A big 'LOL' to people who bullshit about 'small' groups running around Emain. All I ever see are Albs camping mmg, or one group running back, enemy spotted, 1min later Alb zerg arrives at mach5.

It's funny, because Albs have said this on numerous threads, yet I see the same players camping or zerging.

Let's not forget it was christmas day after all so perhaps not all people are logging into daoc to zerg someplace.

atm I'm just totally bored of the game, I'll be back soon enough but it'll be to play alts as emain is just shit at the moment and well... so's odins and hadrians wall is empty. Guess I'm just bored of the whole rvr aspect of this game (which is not a good sign as that is the whole point of this game) :(

Odin's a quiet place, I know that, and yes, I've spent hours in Odin's without meeting anyone, so I tend to go to emain, where I will find action with a 90% chance.

If hibs would run around in 1-2fg more in emain then it wouldnt be same zerging in emain as it is sometimes/mostly.
That would be most fun for all i would guess tbh.
Cause fgs vs fgs = most fun rvr part.
And yes sometimes ppl bring zerg etc = bad. But what can u do? Just only try avoid them and try have nice fights instaid.
Thing is this if 4fg camp a milegate if u come from behind with 2fg u can kill those 4fg and camping would be to dangerous and would i guess stop alot if that would happend more..

I went to Odins at 1am ish having logged on late twas xmas day after all and had 3 or 4 fg vs fg fights with Mids and once when we bumped into 10 Hibs HMG. Lots of fun, nice one Kalgarn and crew for returning so many times. Wasn't at AMG for soulfly and xorta though.

As I have said before we will not go fight RP whores in emain when we are outnumbered. This 1fg stuff running around is not as you say. All it is is 1fg one side, 2 fg another and another in the trees. We have done it all too often, fought bravely, and lost more times than won. Everytime we win a 1fg vs 8-12 or so, theres 20 more inc from mmg area or theres 30 Albs on next port.

So we figure its just plain barmy to spend 15 mins running to emain to find...

1 ) fg of stealthers at Bolg covering the entire entrance from the nged dir letters to the letters crim/bolg path.

2) 2 fgs Albs on either crim spine or one of the three hills, waiting for us thanks to scouts.

3) Or we find a fg Albs at AMG that's 4 in 20 seconds.

You could blame mythic too as well, as running to emain for Hib, whilst quicker than before still takes far far too long and we cant port and be at AMG res sick en masse to fight etc.

Still got an open invitation via pm for a fg vs fg fight.

We however have just had some nice fights in Emain with Albs, Rambo and crew. Reason, scout said only 2 fg + stealthers emain, so as one fg we went. A few more Hibs trickled in later.

So as we have explained in these forums, you stop bringing these silly zergs or running into arms of a zerg and hey you'll get a nice fight.

Funny thing is if/when relics get taken, there will be zero Hibs in frontier as we will boycott bar keeps until sense prevails.

Why dont you go to your own frontier for RVR. Theres a good crew of Albs retaking keeps and in the open field too. Elise is almost always there, as is Johnstone, Stuartie and Mattshanes's alt. Elise seems a really good pbaoer too.

How many times do you see me in a group with a caster? You generally find most groups I'm with don't have casters, because particularly in GOS, we only have one lvl 50 enchanter who rvrs a lot. So again this stuff about pbaoe to me is a little bewildering, same with camping keeps. Wardens and tanks and druids are about as much use in keeps as chocolate teapots without casters and when you dont have one...

This evening we had 3 wardens, a bm, 2 champs, shade and the king Lourk. Malev logged the ONLY bard available to rvr in, did a /who bard 45 50 = 0. Maybe that shows what a plight Hib has with bards and maybe that will help you understand a few things about them. People just don't play them as we'd maybe like.

We'd love to be able to fight without this utter nonsense of running into others, but it generally doesnt happen too often.

When I logged in, I asked a couple of shades for emain status, reply 2 fg mmg, theres 20 or so AMG and a group floating he thinks. Odd few Mids.

So dunno really what to say to you without it being taken the wrong way.

Maybe one day soon the guild I am in will be able to field 4 fg of 50 rvrers, its getting there.

Blej, we hibs actually run around alot in 1-2fg's looking for good fights you know... mostly we get squished by larger forces after a while though, seems to me as if as soon as albs or mids get the butts kicked when there is equal numbers or lvls they just bring more people and that kills the fun. It has happened a lot of times when I have been around at least. Hibs do this too sometimes aswell I am afraid... Sometimes zergs is impossible to avoid, 2fg meet another 2fg that decides to tag along the other 2grps... Sad when it happens though imo.

Take a moment and think about that instead of starting to flame me, perhaps I am wrong, but what if I am right?

ofc, feel free to flame aswell if you wish as usual if you dont wanna listen or dont care ;)

/em locks himself up in a flameproof suit and hides in a locker

edit: seems tuo wrote his post at the same time as I did, listen to him guys, he is quite on the spot here. Many many hibs share his opinion is this matter I believe.

We get our butts kicked maybe because none of our casters have any kind of stun?

Anyway back to topic, yes we do see the same hibs in emain often sadly maybe because it's their realm and they don't like travelling far i mean would we wouldn't want to rvr in hadrian's wall every time running there?we should be glad to see them come and fight although i haven't seen many the last 2 days:(

Hmm maybe you are very tough soulfly they needed that much hibs to kill you:D

Fighting what ? if you dont wanna run in to other ppl....

Anyway, you state that the 1fg's are bs, that just shows how little you know about emain.
You dont wanna go to emain and fight RP-Whores, I take that as you dont wanna fight vs over average players.

Maybe one day soon the guild I am in will be able to field 4 fg of 50 rvrers, its getting there.

So you dont like zerging RvR, still your getting 4fg's to go to emain ?
no wonder you think it's boring....

TBH we are lucky that pryd\hibs dont know what they are capable of...

Xorta darling, loosen the headband of your superhero costume for once and let the Übermensch in you take a nap - try to see what Tuorin was talking about.

There's only one indicator that puts you slightly "over average", and sadly that's comparing the amount of blue colour in outfits worn by egotripping Albion female sorcerers :)

Heh, posts like these only show how much you really know about Emain and what you yourself do when you go there. :p

Anyway, even if Albs are camping mmg, Hibs are the only realm that don't suffer from that, since they don't need to get through a mg and unlike Albs that don't have Mids to fight, they still have Albs to fight.

Sadly, Hibs are just.. predictable. They only use 1 route to go to Emain, and as an Alb I can be 99% sure that whenever I see a death message caused by a Hib, that Hib was at amg. Then there's a 90% chance that same Hib (and his group) will stay at amg to rest in the open instead of run away and rest in a safe spot.

Last night's only appearance (afaik) by Hibs was ~1.5fg at -surprise!- amg. They got wiped by 2fg Albs comming from apk (2 single groups, just moving together because that usually happens after a port) and didn't return after that, probably complaining about being zerged or something. Now imagine those same Hibs hiding somewhere close, having some scout at amg, waiting for Albs to get to amg. 1 group of Albs would have moved, then those Hibs could've charged in, killed the 2nd group and move immediately to rest and do the same when the 2nd group returned to see if there's still something to kill. Voila, 2 groups of Albs dead and possibly more inc to kill. RvR heaven.

Damn, wish I had rolled a Hibbie on pryd.

The Albs who are never in small groups who pick through a post looking for a negative.

I've been rvring for 8 months my dear and know its stupid fighting 3fg of Albs with 1 fg.

Coren, I don't camp AMG, well we do for 2 secs after a battle rezzing, but then theres 30 Albs there then. :p

Dunno if you were there last night, just know it was the only Hib group I saw and they were camping amg. Just mentioning that if you're outnumbered and you know you are, camping some spot in the open is like asking for a quick death, while those Hibs could have caused some serious havoc if they just used hit-n-run tactics. Sure, they would've been zerged eventually, happens to all of us, but not without taking down multiple groups first and actually having some fun.

Toird u better delete that NS and come with ur bard :(

I think Hib/Pryd could only have some decent RvR if there's a RvR guild with just a max. of 16 members. But as no-one seems to want that, I'll just stay on mid/exc -_-

Maybe they need to create a few neutral frontier areas, where winning the central keep gives some kind of benefit, give it doors on at least two sides so it is hard to defend. Then make the surrounding sectors much more rvr friendly with open expanses and and dense forests, no milegates and at least 3 routes from the portal keep to the central sector. Then you get the oppurtunity for nice fg v fg action and massive keep raids where the keep really is worth dying for.

As you know Coren Slayn and I were always running in 1fg and were the preverbial pain the ass for many weeks around emain. Unfortunately right now we are struggling. Most people have left or playing alts and without a top bard, we are simply struggling.

I'm hoping we get a few bards back for the coming week.
