Slipknot? Aside from the fact that they call their fans "maggots", their music sounds like someone torturing Brinxies cat with a pair of rusty pliars - interrupted by screams of "FUCK!", "Nyaaaargh!!" and "Aooochhhh!!!"

The Ramones (Blitzkrieg Bop while on the Highway is TEH ROCK:)),
The Hives,
The Wiseguys
some Moby stuff (mega mainstream but good to relax),
Bush (ultimate relax..;)),

(Also Nirvana are awesome, especially love the Unplugged in New York album)

Those are who I've mainly been listening to while playing DAoC which is the only time I purposefully listen to music.

I can even roleplay while listening to the enjoyably stupid Andrew W.K. as well.

Ugh, loads of music there I don't like :)

I really only know my top two bands and the rest are hard to put in a top ten. Yes I know I have KoRn at 1,2,3 and 4 but that is for the simple reason that I love it.

I wouldn't say I fit too into the category of the younger generation.

Its not like I have 10 favourite bands.

Fleetwood Mac, T-Rex, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Police and others could all be up there, my 10 were just my 10 closest minidiscs :D

I just cant stand the slipknot / quorn / static x / SOAD type of rollarks. It's damned awful.

Edit - actually not police really, but you get the point :)

I am not averse to the odd Wheatus track and Linkin Park are ok too, REM I forgot about, AC/DC too should be there but I am far from my records and cd's and my 8-track collection is alas no more.

Eheheh, that's no basis for an arguement of a band being good.

I could write an incomprehensible jumbled, near impossible set of music and lyrics, and ask a professional band to play it. If they can't does that mean they are rubbish?

I personally don't like music along the lines I stated below, deal with it! It's crap :D

It isnt crap at all IF u play a guitar like me u would realise the difference and btw muse are a good band but absolutely terrible live.

Also btw i go for the music not the lyrics:p

I'm just making a point - Just because music is HARD to play doesn't mean it sounds GOOD.

Some of the simplest songs can be some of the best. :)

Yes i know but disgrading someones music choices is pointless we are all different after all and besides i agree nirvana songs r so easy to play and are dam good.I was asking top ten bands u like not oh they r crap i dont like them,wtf u like some crap bands etc i was just asking people what they like not a debate about who should listen to what:p
