Whats albs upto???

Really Alb playstyle its suxing a lot in this days ... i cant understand why alb need to cut all ports in Hibernia or Midgar, well if they are happy playing vs Npcs /clap to them. I dont like the pve but i prefer to be zerged for this lamers than play like uke: . btw rerolling to mid

We held relics on plenty of occasions during that 2 years kagato, what we failed to do was hold on to them for a prolonged period of time, partly down to bad design of the Myrddin relic keep and it's placement in snowdonia, and partly down to an often acceptance that hib would have the power relics and mid would have the strength relics.

Oh and don't forget that we usually turned up with so many that the zone would crash, which caused a fair number of relic attempts to fail.

On the occassions where we took the relics (usually the strength, as the power relics were perceived to be undefendable), we took them fast, and usually with unsurmountable numbers.

So stop the bullshit propaganda that we didn't hold any relics for two years, and stop the even bigger bullshit that because of this, somehow every mid/hib (regardless of if they even played prydwen and not excal) somehow deserves to get treated like shit from now till kingdom come.

i think for most albs, roaming = releasing in 30 secs. very frustrating and unpleasant, and not something we like doing 5 times in 10 mins.

i told you, we suck and we know it, and we act as a bunch of scared sheep as a result.

let me tell you a bit about the campign of beno east bridge, when the mids have berkstead as an example.

it works in waves. lets start with mids on that bridge. albs go solo and in small groups, and even full groups to fight them. they all die. albs then zerg the mids on the bridge. mids die in the end. albs proceed with storming over the bridge and starting to roam the area between the bridge and berk. some albs remain on the bridge to camp it. the mids who lost at bridge now have ported back to berkstead. all the albs between beno bridge and berks die at the hands of those mids. the mids assault the bridge and the bridge campers get what they wanted. sometimes the mids die to the bridge campers, sometimes the bridgecampers win. if albs won this round, they just go roam again and die again at the hands of the mids who released and ported back.

i know i like to camp/assault at a choking point because it offers my wiz the best chances. walls are a big tacticall advantage to a class that relies heavely on ae damage (hi mana eldritches/bianshees). i have enough patience to wait for 5 mins... for me it is a matter of choosing the point i want to assault or defend. and if i can avoid getting farmed allong the way, so much the better.

The only times alb numbers ever crashed the servers was towards the end of old frontiers in the last months before NF came out that herbal arranged the mass zergs in response to midgards AC raid (organised by ladonna or something like that i think).
That only lasted a couple of weeks before everyone got to fed up of not being able to login.

Don't you think there is more fun to be had from winning battles one on one sometimes? I'm not even talking about all the time - i do my share of tower sitting (but run out of patience after 5 mins) but variety is the spice of life. Admittedly if a group is zerging in the area, then get back to a defendable point, but if not, give roaming a crack.

what ive noticed about albion recently is that they have a "hive mentality" they just swarm around in massive groups (only ever seen a few fullgroups roaming which were good fights ill add). Screaming protect the queen protect the queen.

Just watch a documentary on bees and you will see albions tactics perfectly.

The other issue ive noticed is that albions never bring fair numbers to any fights its either 3to1 or nothing. Ive never seen albion with equal numbers in any keep fight ive turned up for raids or defences and if they do they are also taking 2 or 3 other keeps at the same time.

THe numbers in albion vs midgard and hibernia at the moment is silly however even though albion has the number bonus ive never seen them really put out a decent fullgroup team nearly every single alb group we have run across have died. Some are good but the majority of albs in rvr are a big pile of crap.

So it seems that their only way to gain rps is to run around in a big mindless zerg running over everything they come across.

As for breaking ports that is part of the game but albion must realise that they are hurting themselves because by taking ports hibs go "im not rvring" and ive done it gone out into rvr and thought naw im not bothering.

The other tactic ive seen albion do is the critical mass tactic where they hide inside a tower or a keep until their numbers have swelled to at least 5 times the attackers then they rush out and all get 10rps each.

Looking at the realm points made by certain individuals per week (on the realm of honor) you would think they would make more but they arnt really making much more zerging 24/7 than i do rvring a few times a week.

Sad really.

but albion i would recomend rerolling mid or hib just for a while to play the game differently.

Yes next time can albs send a scout out, find out enemy numbers then make a bg with the exact same numbers. any left overs will have to log im afraid. If you could do that awarkle would appreciate it. cheers

Yeah but normally the scout they send out stands outside of crauch trying to pick off rog users and we roll them until they log.

Im just saying that you dont have to run as a BIG fat assed zerg to win you can run as smaller numbers

As for this OF talk, albion on prydwen never struggled to hold the strengh relics and they had them most of the time really so dont care about all this excal talk, this isnt excal anymore kagato. Who cares anyway about the past.... all the players now are fotm wiz/sorc/caba/thuergs who made all there rps in rp patch and run with di3 bots. Back then albion had the superiour numbers as always, but back then they were as stupid as they are now so they could be farmed quite easily. Problem is now that they are all casters with DI bots and not palas ect, so all they have to do is F8 and mash the keyboard and they will cause problems. Also the love that albion classes have been given over the years to compensate for their stupidity and to stop them whineing like hell as they always did and still do doesnt help either.

I really dont get how any albion player has fun, when i log in theres usualy 4fg albs hitting a keep or tower, so we manage to scrape a FG together and wipe the albs in the end. Then we go roam around bolg...... nothing..... they all logged, maybe the odd group come out but thats still 3fg logged because they died and cant camp a tower. If you hit an alb tower which i havnt done in a long time then you get a massive zerg coming to kill you from nowhere. When the tower is defended you all disappear to nowhere. Seriously what the fuck is this about? Where the hell do you come from and go to? and why the hell do you always want to be involved in seige warfare? NF has been out for god knows how long now and i think we have all had enough of that crap.

As for pips comment, is a bit funny but seriously... used to be able to get some groups with red guard and so on but they have gone to different servers now so there is no one to group with, i guess they got bored of ONLY having action when they seige albion, otherwise they get no albs whatsoever as i typed above, it really does boggle my mind how those people think. So basically my only option is to Solo/Duo on mid or maybe get a group together on hib. If it was possible to play mid at the moment i would but it just isnt. It really is sad the state of mid at the moment its just a ghost town and i really dont see it getting better anytime soon. This game at the moment is hibgard Vs albion, i always go for albion and instruct the group to go for albion first, also salute to bokke for not going for us a several occasions and actually helping us defend thats the kind of players albion needs

Also if this stuff carries on i can see hib going the same way, population has picked up now with irvr but when the albs take the relics and all the keeps the action will be shit once again and no one will bother to log on.

Id like some albion to comment on this, but i doubt it because they only seem to care about there point of view. Why do you want to make the game so boreing and hard work for the enemy realms and also for yourselfs, im sure you cant kind that shit fun seriously.

If you care about having RvR action you will allow iRvR to be in HW, or in emain without relic raiding, having iRvR and nice action without all this seige bullshit is the only way to revive this server, it worked with prydwen before cluster and it will work again. Problem is prydwen then didnt have the assholes like horner, cm and dark aurora.... and its just impossible to keep guys like that on a leash because they need to be sent to iraq or somthing to bring them into line.

And because of these people that just have to break every single port and relic raid this server is doomed because no one can do anything about it except them.

Winning isnt right when you will go to whatever lengths to do it (i.e. cheat, unfair fight, superiour numbers, di bots).

Ok I agree, but I think it is ok if I only win because it is an unfair fight, I have superior numbers and a di bot, or any combination of those. In addition its ok when I am more skilled, have more luck and the enemy has superior numbers ... if I win when the enemy is unlucky, but more skilled I think thats ok. If the enemy is fighting unfairly, but I have DI bot and I am more skilled, thats ok. If I have the numbers, but bad luck, but the enemy fights unfairly I dont mind winning. Now if the enemy has DI bots and numbers, I feel its ok for me to fight unfairly, especially if they are more skilled, but then I would probably need luck. If the enemy is fighting unfairly, have the numbers and are lucky when I am defending a tower the druid sort of becomes a di bot against my noble intentions and if I win then its not my fault!

How can you be glad to win when you know you won because you out numbered them 3 to 1 or have a di bot stuck to your ass.

I can assure you that I will try not to be very glad when that happens, just to make you happy
