What is needed to have you(r) (FG) back on the cluster?

If all the people on here yelling that the server is dead actually came back and played on the server then there would be plenty of people playing.

Unfortunately the reason for people leaving arent just as straight forward as numbers, though its certainly a major contributer.

Severance will never return, just getting the old band back together would not happen.

I honestly think Daoc's time, at least in Eng/Euro is over. People are mostly hanging on for a new game.

UK cluster is dead to me. Don't really think there is anything to do than let the server die out.
Also, it's not only about the numbers, but about what kind of players that now are left on cluster.

id like more strong grps to fight, more respect for soloers and at same time plenty of room for active siege/zerg warfare.

to accomplish this, we have to be clustered with one or several large servers with healthy communities, and the likeminded to group up and make their own rules and communication channels.

+ avoid conflict between those ;d

It'd be nice to get some way of encouraging low RR setgroups to stick it out, that is after all the only way groups get better and hence provide more challenging fights for everyone.

They screwed up alot of it by introducing the battle grounds, its simply diluted the players in the frontiers even more.

Used to be a good laugh dashing to a relic defense at level 24 or dancing with a grey con you've caught in the frontier and helping it kill mobs.

The server and the game itself is old, and Mythic/Goa didnt want to spend any cash in advertising, so the stream of new players(noobs) ended 2003-2004. The only enemys left to figth the last time I played was Kagato & co... old timers/good players with perfect gear in rr 7+...zZz. I think my last score was 11 kills and 12 losses after dueling with tanks on a bridge during a nigth...lol :/

How can Kagato on 1 hand say its too zergy now yet others claim the servers dead? whos lying? or does Kag class 10 people in his realm a zerg? For people like myself who dip in now and again to daoc but read FH to gauge if its worth loggin on its very confusing .

any rr11 with access to a rr10 di bot can enter and apply for a spot

Well i voted for higher pop in generel becourse i think that would bring alot of the other options aswell .. more fg vs fg figths and soloers ...

I dont know if clustering is the way though ... Another option could be to just move the accounts from server to server instead ... i know there will be some merging planing but that could be done by a well made hp where u could sign up ur account info ...

There should prolly be a few options like in a poll of wich servers would be of interess .. and then a link perhaps on subscription page where u can fill in ur account info and select where u would like to go etc ....

Like midg -pryd move to midg-avalon, hib - excal to hib - another server name ...

Type in house number aswell to get merged to free spot in housing etc ...

This could just aswell be to a us server ...
typically to just merge data between db servers is easier than to cluster different servers

i personally dont care what server i belong to but i do care alot about my characters and would be happy to play on another server with them.

I allso think making like 4 servers in a cluster would give what 4 diff ME's etc ... think thats to much tbh ..

Give free account merge to other servers and unite the playerbase we have to give a hell of a blow out for aslong as this great game will exist.

I doubt the old BaF group I played in will ever return no matter what happens. This game had it´s time and I am happy looking back to my time in this game with mostly joy.
