What do you do for a living?

My curiosity finally got the better of me (it usually does when I am bored out of my fucking mind) and I began wondering what you all do for a living.

I am currently on a 3 month holiday in the US. I don't have a work visa out here so I am trying to get some volunteer research work at the Smithsonian Natural History museum (which would be awesome). During the evenings I fight crime with my faithful sidekick. We aren't very good owing largely to our total lack of morals.

Tell me what you doooooo!!

Especially if it is illegal so I can blackmail you! :D

Playing the same game over and over and over again while it's ridden with bugs isn't as hot as it might seem, especially not when you know those are bugs you have to fix sooner or later

Sounds like you want a position in a Quality Assurance team though, since a programmer spend more time in a text editor or testing the (hopefully short) snippet they just coded rather than playing through the game.

Nice one :)

I started Techie school wanting to be a game programmer :D
Got sidetracked somewhere through the whole thing :)

BSc is only one year away for me - would mean full time study
tho and .. honestly .. cba atm

<- Cash preferred.

While finding and fixing bugs in Software Systems 2 other
companies work on as well is a rare treat :p .. I reckon it's even
worse w a really good game where you don't specifically know
where the heck someone could possibly find a bug. .. (by poking
his nose while jumping 3 times and turning to the right)

I only have 3.5 points ( 3½ weeks worth of full-time studies ) left. Just that the course I'm missing does not exist anymore, so I have to find something else that fits :(

i dont personally beleive people that say they'rre games programmers and shit, blatent lies. more likely to be saying they are, but what they really do is data entry or somut. i'd be more likely to beleive someone saying they're in the SAS on here than saying they're a games programmer. they just dont exist.

My my, what a sad little person you are.

I worked as a game programmer at Unique Development Studios AB in Sweden (www.uds.se), have EJay Clubworld and Futurama - The Game as published titles and 'The Kore Gang' as upcoming published title.

Now kindly stfu.
