same as me, add maddening scalers, will only get the hauberk as a last resort, hoping to get hold of meduza (ml3) or cerberus (ml6) chest though

same i think, though im using galla hauberk, cause you cant beat 180 heal proc on your chest :D

1 thing xfear, i heard the artifacts that only exp in rvr take around 1 mil to get lvl 10, the problem i see with this is by the time you get them to lvl 10 (1 mil) isnt your equipment going to be pretty low dur? and while getting there you will have less resists ofc as the items only get the full oad at lvl 10

you do know that atens shield is only 15dps/bluecon?

Yeah, Athen's Shield is blue Conc.. lvl 36-40 or so...

Still remember, for a defensive hero, the quickness is v. important, with ur 35 quick + 21 for ur template, is only 56 quick, the swing will be so slow if u are using a large shield (will be ok if u using galla shield), in a sec u can loss a mage :p

slam rating is affected by your 1h WS which is affected by str (blunt,slash) and +blunt/blade stuff or dex + str(thrust) +thrust stuff

when you try to slam somebody in RvR game routines compare your WS with your enemys WS if yours is lower than your openents your chance of landing slam decreases, thats why S/S hero hits more frequently with slam than hybrid, block/parry/evade affect the calculation aswell ofc

dunno where you got that from but there is no such thing as a main weaponskill ,if you want to call it like that your "mainweaponskill" is the one you are currently using

furthermore your shield spec doesnt affect slam either it just affects your blockrate

2 shield spec are aprox. 1% blockchance

Chance to slam is not based on 1h spec, my hero has 6 blades, im a hybrid, and my ability to slam is without question, excellent, therefore 1h weaponskill has nothing to do with it.

The chance to slam debate has been going on forever but in a grab bag some time back mythic said that shield has its own hidden wep skill and higher shield gives higher chance to land slam - ofc I could be wrong but I'll try and find the link.

As for rvr artifacts taking 1M rpts to reach lvl 10 - maybe it is different for each artifact but I can tell you that battler seems to take approx 300k to lvl 10 as far as I can tell so far.

I have no trouble landing slam with 6 blades and 50+14 shield, I believe you are correct and shield has its own weaponskill that is based on shield spec and dex (not str).

Also my battler is level 2 after 90k rp. This can vary from person to person though as the experience gain is only from avalonians, inconnu, frostalf and kobolds. (Changed to any rvr after next patch)

This is what I always belived to be the case atm (though I mistakenly thought it was shield+str), but XFears idea that is based on your highest weapon spec + dex is also feasable.

Next time someone swallows a full respec stone try slamming with only skillpoints in shield before you assign points to your weapons, see if we can get some real proof :)

Here, i found the truth!

Q: When using a shield related combat style (Slam, Brutalize, etc), does the game use your current slash/thrust/crush weapon skill as its base (as shown on your character info screen) OR is there a 'hidden' Shield weapon skill not shown on your character info screen (based on STR? & Shield Spec) that it uses instead?

A: It uses your shield skill - which is based on both your specialization level and dexterity.

This is what i've come up with so far. Using the following artis: Malice Axe, Golden Spear, SoM, GoV.
Not much +dex cap, not much quickness. but all other things capped except 1% matter. Give advices, ty.

This is with 1h equipped. All stats still capped with spear equipped, but capped melee speed and 1% less style dmg.

Str:

115 (overcapped, real stat will be 91)

Int:

0

Hits:

284 (overcapped, 240 is the real number)

Con:

91 (overcapped cause otherwize i will get 10 con less with 2h equipped. Real stat is 80)

Just a thought, since heroes arent in grp as a primary dmg-dealer how about switching stats on str and qui? For faster slams etc.

I was only after smth more like a happy medium if u couldnt cap both.
