Washington Sniper not a gamer
Leading FBI investigator in the Washington Sniper killings, David Cartowitz, today denied that the sniper who has been terrorising Washington residents for the last two weeks is a devotee of the on-line fighting game “counter-strike”. “I’ve played this game myself and to link the two is completely preposterous”.
The game, which allows on-line gamers to realistically fight each other with authentically engineered weapons – as terrorists or counter-terrorists, has been blamed in the last few days by numerous sources for having a definite connection to the slayings.
“you can use a sniper rifle in this game, and it is our view that the Washington sniper is almost certainly an avid player of this game who has taken his obsession into the real world.” Said Harvey Winkle of the AAVG (Americans Against Violent Games) organisation. “It should be banned.”
Agent Cartowitz said yesterday “he (the sniper) is a lame-ass n00b who couldn’t hit anything without his boom-stick. He should stop camping and use a man’s gun”
Later that afternoon it was reported that 4 people were “glocked” in a downtown shopping mall. A Graffiti spray of Chorlton and an unknown computer geek were nearby and is being investigated.
