imho the zerg is the lamest thing about rvr.. i much prefer smaller battle`s or even one on ones.. those are fun charging around emain with 20-30 other mids is just so damn boring.. whoopie i just made 30 rps from that fg of albs/hibs..... where`s as smaller battles you can easily make several thousand rps from it.

friars, like warders tend to be more annoying then normal tanks, seeing as they are always buffed to the max, and anyway, i've seen a hero being soloed by a friar, so heros are gimped!! (only joking, heros are great c;asses, very fun to play)

i admit, the lack of hp's on a thane is quite annoying, and i know if i meet a duel weilder, the chances i'll kill him are very very small.

but warriors seem like a great class, their sheild ability is outstanding

oh, and jag may have a buff bot and a very good healer helping him,but he is still a great warrior.

(oh, and i agree about the zerg (tm), amazing dullness)


its not how effective your class that is the most important thing, its if u enjoy playing him, which i do! (thanes are quite fun to play actually)

kephan doesn't run around emain solo... look at those he groups with, rather than himself... he's part of a team, and fills that role very well. (Bet he's a damn good leech too )

The only good thane is a Thane with a buff bot

With a shammy, who has 21 aug @ lvl 23, I have the HP of a decent tank, and ok dex. (1600 hp, 160ish dex)

Without buffs, I have 1313 hp, and abysmally low dex of 78

Totally agree,people say a class is a gimp don't know what they can do or can't play them it's that simple.

Play a Thane and find out for yourself

wouldn't waste my time btw, been there done that, got the apron epic armor, wasn't worth 6 months of leveling.

But I like him, and he's damn fun to play. More exciting to play that a meatshield warrior, but still gimped none-the-less.

(You can de-gimp thanes slightly by getting LOTS of uber items... though they will raise the ability of any class)

I use my Thane strictly for farming items now. Best farming class in Mid imo. So it's sad that due to lack of hp/casting ability are so underpowered in RvR. Sad, but true.

anyone who claims thanes are NOT gimped eiterh has never played one to 50 and RvR enuff OR goes round in zergs thinkign they are actually doing something unique in their role.

Anyway, sorry this is a warrior post.

No I dont think they are gimped in their current US guise, I would be keen to see their damage logs vrs Zerker damage, Thane damage, Hero/Armsman damage

Friars are one of the best duel classes in the game, ye The only thing actually speaking FOR a thane in true RvR (read, -non- zerg) is their interupt, and possible damage add. Zerker will do more damage, warriors will take more damage.

As for warriors atm, well, let's just say the damage increase will help them

and i got 1847 hp so i dont die to easy

and my damage is good =)

i just owned 3 hibs on odins one got away with 0.5 bubs of hp when i died 2 of them were lvl50

so i think warriors are good =)

But you have met a merc that has nah plankton you give good fight,warriors are decent can take basically fighter classes out if played right quite well with hardly losing hp unless nuked.

Warriors suck?? On what planet do you live. I've fought endless warriors on Merlin and to be frank about it, I'd rather go toe to toe against a zerker with my inf than face a warrior, I stand more chance against the zerker. Warriors are probably the best pure breed fighter in the game. Ok they don't have the fancy spells of the paladin but a warrior will beat an armsman into the ground any day. And yes moose form is a nasty ability for the hero... but trust me warriors you get a great deal of lovin in the coming patches.

Thanes are still gimps And always will be. I'd rather go into battle with a warrior at my side than a Thane anyday.
