Does not make it right or mean we have to have sympathy for them. They know how Russia operate, look at Syria, they could have fled the country and claimed asylum elsewhere along with their families.

I know which one I would choose. I know it's easier to say than to do, but would you shell shopping centres and blocks of flats to save yourself, or would you surrender?

Basically what @Scouse fails to realise is that Putin and his followers are carpet bombing civilian areas. What about the reported 300 dead who took shelter in a fucking theatre? What about the numerous hospitals and children facilities which have been confirmed?

Like @DaGaffer said, finding it hard to care about the Russian soldiers carrying our Putin's war crimes which are so obvious. He has instructed his Army to flatten and destroy Ukraine no matter what the cost to human life is.

As they say in French, "Fuck em".

Sanctions need to be increased now until they have left all of Ukraine, including Crimea. Make it absolutely clear that the west only will only even think about lessoning them 5 years after every last Russian is out of those regions. They also need to hand over Putin to face a court, or just put a bullet in the back of his head, whichever suits.

Absolutely. Make it 10 years, reduce everyone's needs on Russian exports of anything. Putin is a war criminal and needs to be punished in a court of law.

Glad the UK is sending more military aid and helping to pay the wages of the Ukrainian Army (hopefully true). Also hope they deliver on providing Starstreak - Wikipedia

Agreed unless he is taken out but what he has done is isolate Russia from the West for a long time. Russia will be bankrupt within a few years and looked at like NK. A rogue state with nuclear capability. He has lost his war with the West. If I have to pay 10-20p increase in tax to stabilize the West then happy to do it, it is cheaper and less painful than having my house bombed.

Considering around 6% of our enerrgy comes from Russia I would say we are good, and as I said earlier, we can restart North Field fields really quickly which we are looking at. Go blame Germany and Italy not the "West"

The EU are by making arrangements to get NLG from the US so they don't have to get anything from Russia. But these things take time.

Letting Russia do whatever they want in the Ukraine isn't the solution. They have to be stopped.

What reality?

The story itself says "we don't even know if this is actually a story" - but they saw fit to put it all over the front pages.

How can I accept something when nobody knows what the fuck is going on? And, more importantly, why and how do you "accept" it?
