So you download the 900Mb patch or whatever it is and get the game graphics but just cant go into catacombs Areas?

You can do everything that someone who has done a physical CD install can do. Been to the new areas tonight.

to save the poor Mythic patcher:

Take a copy of your TOA folder, put the US catacombs update.dat and run it from there. It'll only be a 900 meg patch or so.

230Mb if you've got latest US version already installed

you must have created a new directory or something,

take a copy of your old ToA folder, call it C:/Catacombs

put the update.dat you got given in that folder
run camelot.exe

just copy your toa folder to a new dir then change the info in the update.dat file to patch.daoc.net:1280/updates/catacombs/mpatch.dat 880mb > 2.3 gig

So it is as you said. (( What's wrong with it. can ppl plz tell me exactly what they clicked on and typed

re-edit: OK, it's exactly what gamah was saying, but to make it easier - delete the contents of update.dat and replace with this:

Mythic Patch
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/catacombs/mpatch.dat
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/catacombs/mpatch.dat


If you use the URLs you were trying it will require certain US files to already exist and will not work with a carbon copy of the TOA folder, whereas this will.

When i run the patcher it stays the same

get a friend with the EU version give you his camelot.exe file and it starts up perfectly...

This is why it would be far more wise to patch from EU patch servers, I knew they come up few hours before game servers do and patched from TOA+NF EU 1.70 to Catacombs without any problems.

OK thanks to the help of quite a few ppl (Raven especially) it's now open but when i activate my account it just says Your modifiactions acepted. Changes will be made to your account in a ew minutes and a few minutes later it's not activated. I can also put my CD Key in over and over and it won't say it's been used
