Video files out of sync

Specifically, some of my video clips (.wmv) have their video and audio out of sync and it's pissing me off.

I dunno where to start to fix it, but I suspect i've maybe got an old or out-of-date codec perhaps? Any help?

Try running it in media player classic and see if you get the same problem - available here

Maybe they were made badly?

1)Uninstall every single video and audio codec you can
2)Install Gspot
3)Install codecs when and as necessary

Or just look for the defiler pak.
I thought WMV used stuff that was built into Windows anyway?

Yeah but you can sometimes end up with a system full of codecs (like the nimo codec pack) that bugger everything up.
