Interesting viewpoint.

Interesting viewpoint.

It was very much tongue in cheek.

My point being that the American Government is actively censoring their press because of the political view point of certain sectors of their press.

It's just amazing that in this day and age a failed businessman has managed to convince millions of people of this new found scapegoat, because let's face it, who used the phrase 'liberals' in every day chat 10 years ago?

It's this era of post-truth politics, where it's all about saying big things and making sweeping statements to get the applause of the masses and discrediting your opposition as much as possible, including people that aren't in politics.

I'm just wondering when Trump will build a 500,000 capacity arena for his speeches.

I don't recall a similar outrage becuae Obama kicked journalists out of press conferences when he didn't like the question. Doesn't fit into the Orange Man Bad narrative I guess.

I don't get why people think there's any real difference any more.

Politics as pantomime. Meanwhile, for the rich, life is peachy and getting better.

They are all full of shit and tbh I think the difference between liberals and right wingers is the former crave to be liked and right wingers dont give a fuck.
Thats why almost all liberals turn conservative in old age, the I dont give a fuck part of their brain takes over.

I don't recall any times where Obama banned a particular newspaper for a lengthy amount of times, sure individuals were kicked out.

Also, it's not the first time Trump has done it.

He didn't ban CNN tho, just Jim Acosta. Given what a tosser he was even before the supposed assault, that seems fair enough - he's broken one of the first rules of journalism and made the story all about him.

Far more concerning for me was the mob that turned up to Tucker Carlson 's house and threatened his family. That's where free speech truly dies - disagree with him all you like, but threatening his family is pretty damned low.

There was no assault, unless you look at the WH edited footage they sourced from one of Dumps favourite news sources.

I don't think there was an assault at all, however Acosta was being a bell end.

Still, nice homophobic comment!

Not sure that counts as homophobic. If you were talking about Hillary he could just as easily have said 'Mash Hillary's boobs much'.

Of course it's not homophobic - and he didn't take it that way either. It's bodhi carefully choosing his level of outrage when making a comeback comment rather than simply having an honest argument and playing with a straight-bat.

It's important to Bodhi to 'win', but not so important whether he's right or not.

See previous comments about bodhi's feelings being his source of truth rather than actual evidence...

Always good when the righteous SJW mask slips and the real feelings come out.

Still my comment must have been accurate given your attempts to play the man rather than the ball. As per usual.

The Acosta affair: An unpopular opinion

Not what I expected to read on the Beeb at all.
I'm not unsympathetic to that viewpoint but at the end of the day they didn't ban him for asking too many questions or not sitting down when asked. They banned him for a physical assault that he didn't do.

My problem with that cartoon is that it just isnt funny, its purile, the equivalent of drawing a dick on the blackboard.
What has happened to funny, satirical political humour? All thats left is caricatures with the 'joke' written on the person so you can get it.
The only funny person left is Matt from the telegraph.

Even the Orange baby blimp wasnt even remotely cutting or insightful, it was almost an endearing skit.

Opinion seems to be divided on whether the White House video was doctored or not, even Buzzfeed and Vice seem unconvinced. However I still wouldn't term it assault, he was just refusing to give the mic up when asked - after he had asked 3 or 4 questions when his colleagues only got one.

Personally I thought he got his press pass revoked for causing a scene and disrespecting his colleagues and the Commander in Chief - and we both now he'll get it back. CNN will get their big story and Trump will have his sparring partner back.
