Dublin was the biggest Norse slave market in Europe so I'm guessing Bristol got trade because of that.

Germany is the logistical base for the middle east and Northern Africa. If they reduce troop counts, it will affect their combat ability across multiple theatres. I don't think China or Russia matters that much. Should have let the Kurds have their own state, they would have had an ally they could count on in the region.

Well we pulled the paras out of Germany decades ago (I was born there) I'm not even sure what we have left in Germany these days, probably not a lot, if anything.

Edit, actually we no longer have any soldiers in Germany.
