I would support the idea of having a non-porous border with a country that has a reputation for drug trafficking amongst other things.

After doing a quick google, it appears that you are correct, and wrong. Many polls say different things.

However, I think what most intelligent people are aware of (mainly from California due to the drug trafficking especially to that state) is that Donald Trump's idea is purely symbolic and nothing more; it's already massively ridiculously accepted that most of the drug cartels are using tunnels to cross the border; A WALL WOULDN'T PREVENT THIS.

So whilst I think that many Americans are genuinely concerned about having such open borders, Donald Trump is not their answer because they are aware that he's jumped on a populist band wagon to get support and targeted all the easy things (such as splitting up families, deporting many people that had been living in America for years etc) rather than dealing with the MUCH harder issue of dealing with the cartels and the genuine problems.

Just watched a docu film called the bleeding edge on netflix.

It shows how broken the fda are when it comes to medical devices ( from breast implants to robot surgery machines) and how they are so in the pocket of the businesses that make the devices so they dont test them adequately before allowing commercial use.

Watch it, it affects how these things are released in europe too. Shows you that new is not always the best option.
