I'm almost as worried by the will to believe shown by our politicians as I am by any nagging worry that it may be serving their aims.

We'll have to wait and see what evidence is brought against the accused, but at the moment the liquid terror bomb plot is going into the same filing cabinet in my brain as the terrifying ricin plot and whatever those guys at Forest Gate were meant to be plotting.

If this pans out badly for the police, security services and government, then some fucker should resign... or be fired. Blair would be great, but I'd settle for John Reid.... he's a fucking cnutjob.
