I would like to make the following points to you.

1) These forums are NOT owned by Mythic, or GOA, their CoC etc DO NOT apply here.

2) The post about the relic raid was about an RvR event related to DAOC, therefore it was Relevent.

3) Your personal ethics, views about DAOC are not relevent and certainly do not take any form of precedence on these forums.

4) As a Moderater your job is to moderate within the statute's of the forum, your deleting a post because u thought it was unfair within the realms of the game is direct abuse of power

5) Even if we were to follow GOA's guidlines, your explanation that a hib player might have seen the post and taken advantage somehow is sketchy at best. If you feel that GOA's CnC has been violated then the place to take action is by reporting to them using Right Now. Clearly you have sought to give your own realm an advantage in this situation by your actions, and as such you do not deserve the privelage of moderating these forums.

As a refence point, I would like to Quote - GAME.net's Terms and Conditions ...

============================
"Post, transmit, promote, or distribute Content that is illegal.
Act in any manner which negatively impacts on the equipment or network of GAME.NET or is likely to lower the standing of GAME.NET Multiplayer in the larger Internet community.
use the Web Site for unlawful purposes, or in a manner which infringes the rights of, or restricts or inhibits the use of the Service by any third party
Harass, threaten, embarrass, or do anything else to another Member or guest that is unwanted. This means: don't say bad things about them, don't keep sending them unwanted messages, don't attack their race, sexual orientation, religion, culture, etc. If you disagree with someone, respond to the subject, not the person.
upload, post, transmit or distribute any material or information in which the User does not own the intellectual property rights, or any material which is in any way unlawful or which is potentially harmful, threatening, abusive, libelous, pornographic or otherwise obscene, or racially or ethically or otherwise objectionable
assist in the sending of unsolicited e-mails or run an open mail relay of any kind
Disrupt the flow of chat in chat rooms or IRC with vulgar language, abusiveness, hitting the return key repeatedly, use of excessive shouting (all caps) in an attempt to disturb other users, or flooding (posting repetitive text). In other words, don't do anything to deliberately ruin the experience for other people.
You may not impersonate another person; indicate that you are a GAME.NET employee or a representative of GAME.NET, or attempt to mislead users by indicating that you represent GAME.NET Multiplayer, GAME, or any of their partners or affiliates.
Attempt to get a password, other account information, or other private information from a Member or any other user on GAME.NET Multiplayer. Remember: GAME.NET employees will NEVER ask for your password. Don't give your password, PIN numbers, reminder words, or billing information out to anyone.
Promote or encourage any illegal activity including hacking, cracking or distribution of counterfeit software
Upload files that contain a virus or corrupted data
Post messages for any purpose other than personal communication, or transmit advertising, promotional materials, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or make any commercial use of our Service.
Improperly use the in game support or complaint buttons or make false reports to GAME.NET staff members
Disruptive play such as team killing/wounding, constant spamming or otherwise attempting to upset the balance of play.
Cheating on the game servers, including (but not limited to) use of 'bots', use of other software programs such as AimBots or wall hacks, speed cheats, gravity cheats, weapon or damage cheats. It also includes game exploits which seriously upset the way in which the game was designed to be played. Remember, GAME.NET Multiplayer is an authentication based system. You are not anonymous, even when aliased. "
====================

Nowhere does it say in the TnCs of GAME.net that your personal ethics permit you as moderator to delete the post in the manner you did.

As far as the issue of Cross teaming goes, this does not apply here, the purpose of the post was to inform players in migard from a midgard player of impending attack. If YOU QUESTION the legality of this, your free to submit a complaint with all pertinent information to GOA, but not to abuse your power as moderator as you clearly have done.

The post was neither offencive, nor biased in any way, infact it was very relivent to the sunject of the forum, RvR on the server Excaliber.

I hereby petition all players to voice their protest at this clear abuse of power and to petition Game.net to immediately Remove Tilda's status as a moderator on these forums as he clearly does not deserve, nor act responsibly with it.

Veng.

P.S. can anyone tell me how I can report this guy for abuse of power? so we can get his moderater status removed?

It stands clear that you are just after Tilda's neck, not because of what was done because that was trivial, but because you just find it easy to pick on someone with a moderatorsuit when they do something that can be criticized.

I hereby petition the community to get Vengful banned from these forums because of a personal vendetta with a hidden agenda.

Personal vendetta? No.

I hardly know Tilda, barely heard of him, had no problems with him until Today.

However I consider myself a man of principle, and I feel that there was been definately an abuse of power here.

Oh and it might interest you to know that My mains are on Hibernia and not Midgard on Excaliber.....

In any case, the fact remains that those with Authority shouldn't be allowed to run rampant, for the consequences may reach further than anticipated.

I believe its a case of power corrupting here.

"Power Corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely"

Once again I invite you to refute the points made in my original post, rather than aiming baseless personal insults towards me.

I have not made any remarks against Tilda apart from his behaviour in deleting the post. I would love to know where you draw your inferences about me from however

It's also clear that if a admin does not act right it's very important that he/she gets investigated. For the principal of democracy. Not necessarily taking a stand whether Tilda did right or wrong, but if reasons for an investigation does excist, one must also be done.

"It stands clear that you are just after Tilda's neck"

That's a good thing imo.

Exactly, if an admin does something wrong once and no one reports them, the process will be repeated again.

IMO what Tilda did was an abuse of power as a moderator, and if you disagree I welcome your arguements on the subject.

Also I would like to add, that www.camelotherald.com has recently added a feature to their website that allows User's to post about EVENTs such as Relic Raids etc.

So that is an example, of a website, a place OUT OF THE GAME, that Mythic has ENDORSED, posting information of such Events. This further throws doubt on the sketchy legaility of Tilda's claims.

not really

On the contrary Freppe

what some of us are attempting to do is make sure that the moderator does not "pick" on players.

Cronn - dunno who u are referring to, but I do not want to be a mod.

I usually just browse these forums, and very rarely if ever post. Because usually everyone says everything thats needed to be said on a topic, but I felt that I had to post about this topic and so I did.

Oh and vengful there is an entire fucking thread filled with all this shit yet you felt the points you make are so important that you had to make a new post about it.

It doesn't matter whatever anyone thinks, we will all have forgotten about this in a few days.

Since you only have one incident to base your complaints on do you think that this one incident makes it necessary to remove moderator status from said moderator? One incident. Wouldn't a more suitable action taken be a warning if the supermoderators/founders think something was done wrong?

Actually cronn - the focus of this post is different, this purpose here is to rally a petition to have Tilda removed from his post as moderator. The other post was asking why the threat was deleted.

Slight difference perhaps?

I feel the difference is enough to warrant a new thread, you are welcome to disagree.

Even us here from the EU servers can read what events will be taking place, on all servers and all realms.

So rarely in fact you only registered this month, perhaps even within the past few hours, who knows eh ;)

Sorry, incidental and as concientous as you might trying to appear I think you do have something personal at stake, like anyone looking to lead a decent witchhunt you need just enough legalistic fluff to cover your points and look reasonable.

You have a problem with Tilda I suggest you do what any sane person would do and appeal to game.net themselves, let them make up their own minds, talk to tilda personally as I'm sure they know him/her/it better than most of us and certainly more than you mr occasional browser ;)

Trial by public opinion is a bad thing ok, more people who needn't get hanged do...

it really depends...

"Since you only have one incident to base your complaints on do you think that this one incident makes it necessary to remove moderator status from said moderator? One incident. Wouldn't a more suitable action taken be a warning if the supermoderators/founders think something was done wrong"

Tranquil it really depends... if the moderator in question acknowledges his mistake, and agrees to not abuse his power similarly in the future then a "slap on the wrist" might be appropraite, and I agree with you that perhap a warning is enough.

However I see no intention of that from his posts on the issue thus far, and I doubt his outlook will change...

Actually I created this account months ago, however I got messed up with the whole password new alias thing when the changed the BWorld forums a while back. At the time I couldn't be bothered with the hassle to sort it out to create an alias because I was happy enough just reading the forums.

I only felt it necessary to to create an Alias when I needed to post, and I had to actually retrieve my password to do that... but ur welcome to speculate and believe what you wish.

As for personal issues at stake... well your welcome to speculate on that, but I believe time will prove that I have nothing to gain personally from this because I will gain nothing.

All i'm at a risk of gaining here it seems is ill favour with a moderator, and that doesn't really bother me.

To Novamir ---

If I remember correctly, mageling was the guy that was being an ass and hijacking the thread about Verata's account being hacked into.

My own personal opinion on the issue is that Verata is a one of hte nicer ppl to play in Hib, and a sound guy. I feel bad for him, and also worried that people's accounts are being hacked and their charecters deleted. I wish all ill will and the wrath of hell on the person responsible for such acts and on mageling for his calous attitude. But lets stick to the subject at hand please :)

thanks, but I really can't be arsed to proof read my posts for every little spelling error or gramatical mistake. I think that I'm able to get my point accross anyways, so I don't see it as a problem.

Pls stop trying to hijack the thread, and if you disagree with me I welcome you to answer the points I made.

The attitude the moderator has towards his own actions hasn't got anything to do with it aslong as the founders/supermoderators stand above him and can moderate and control him. So no it doesn't depend, if you reported it to the game.net people they wouldn't do anything differently simply because the moderator felt he did nothing wrong.

I am pretty sure they would give a warning if something they think was out of order happened. The view the moderator had about it to begin with wouldn't change the action taken.

Er, i was implying that you can't spell your own name :/

And i'd like for the mods to check your and Mageling's last recorded IPs... to be sure.. =)
