Well, thats the whole concept of the ability....

the whole point of it being an ability, rather than a normal shot, is it can fire OVER walls

Aye, just read through the RA description. It can be used once every minute, costs a ton of rps to get and can be used without LOS; 5 arrows a shot. Even into a gatehouse, apparently; not just over walls ( ;

It almost feels like cheating, but its no different to gtaoe except the range is far better on volley and it costs alot of rp to get.
Also the timer is different to rm gtaoe, but it does its job.

I got some 18k rp at bolg and another 16k at Arvakr so I think its was well spended points

oh, and yes the reuse timer was reduced this patch, and the cost is cheaper then before.

Depends on resists and arrowtypes etc.
Its standard arrow damage depending on your bow spec.

that is an uber ra, it hits for about 3 times the dmg a normal gtaoe does + goes thru walls, i got killed by it earlier at arv, when in the main building of the keep.

I agree that anything with roof should provide protection.
Damage is pretty high but , it has 3-4 times longer re use time then normal caster gtaoe.
Gtaoe goes through walls aswell fyi.


And everyone seems to agree on that archers as class is not in line with others so we deserve to have something unique that compensate, not that I think we are bad but most other do

And just for everyones pleasure, Volley will be even better, bladeturn will not be any protection when we get penetrating arrows so FEAR.

I think it still won't penetrate my own bladeturn (since I'm the one casting it), but seeing you didn't hit me once I do believe for that amount of rps it should get a little boost.

U hit my poor Scout, Tinny, for up to 500dmg !!! .. NERF !!!

hmm .. I was thinking .. when my Scout (lvl 45) can kill a orange Norseman (SB) with 6 arrows, whats the fun of speccing in bow ? .. did 300-350 per attack (crit hit not included)... I would say a bit overpowered, even with buffs !

The RA skills longshot and volley (you need to get longshot to get volley according to the site, but the site is also wrong about the timer -1 min, actual time is 15s) will go through ALL (p)bt, no matter who casted it. They are seen as magical attacks I guess, much like a gtaoe nuke will go through (p)bt. I will not break the (p)bt bubble though.
The regular shots from archers will go through pbt, except the bt of the caster.
The damage on volley is nice, the range is also nice. The speed is now pretty fine, every 15s is not insanely overpowering considering the costs of the RA. And it gives enough time to heal if the healer is alert

Ah right ) : Well I haven't seen many archers use it yet. Indeed there was no message that it was my pbt absorbing the shots (just checked the screenies I took). Still, Spix missed me a lot ( ; Is there some attack penalty involved in the volley? I read it has the range of a longshot, which I think would be a bit over the top unless you have to take longshot RA first anyway...

Most likely the pbt that made me miss you alot, I hope

It has 3 times the range a wizard bolt and require Longshot.
It costs 7 points for Volley and 5 for longshot, If I remember correct.

Which is why I asked if maybe there's some penalty on the attack, seeing without a pbt archers usually hurt me a lot.

think i read u can get like 3500 range or was it more? if u put up a ground target.. and then move back

and no penalty really.. well.. no more penalty then using a normal bow shot ;p

ooh.. theres a minimum range too.. so u cant volley on someone standing next to u (eer i think)

It will, read patchnotes. Archers should be the best at keepdefenses . And they prob will be in 1.62.

Doesn't say Pulsing Bladeturns . It'll be a rox in 1.62 for sure .
