Actually archers should be able to melee down an assasin, after SH.
Casters against archers : Archer chose the fight but if u screw up ur death. Bt was the answer to give mages a chance.
Archers against assasins : .....
If a class has the choice when to attack it should only be able to
win if the opponent is at a disadvantage. Doubt Mythic did think
at all when SH was implemented, but i do know most sbs spend
as much time reading future patch notes and lv'ing buffbots as they do in emain.

I agree, but as long as you dont do the right spec you wont.
Saracenthrusters with shieldslam...on a server that have more shadowblades than hm, whatever.
Go landers with at least Sword 39...Instead of complaining how gimped archers are.

They have been spotted in Odin's. Odin's is were the NS are playing. Cannot blaim NS to group though, compared to SB and infs they are pretty bad.
I think you need around 3NS to kill a SB.

So exactly WHAT is that SB problem that you are referring to?

They need to team, but they are overpowered. They suck solo but are overpowered.

and as for Rayne, if you read these boards wtf? ! used ip and purge and still didnt come close to killing you, first hit absorbed by bt don't tell me you got a rm bot ? Its a lot of luck though, many evades and resisting both dd's

If an unbuffed shadowblade jumps me I can now and again defeat them.... barely.

You killed a minstrel with no visible hp bar after another SB did all the work, OMFG mate, grats.
Couldn't any of your previous chars do that? I use 'yours' very loosely there btw.
Don't ask me how Glottis didn't see sala coming, mind you.

Only way to defeat an assasin for me:
1. need to get slam.
2. be able to get a crit shot without:
-you fumble
-you miss
-you can not see your target
-target is attacking you and interrupts your shot (when they are slammed)
-you cannot get a good shot yet (?)
3. melee the last hps of them with my 29+11 thurst.
In the whole time I play daoc, I managed to do that 2 times on an sb.
Oh and i'm gathering points for volley in 1.6 so I can camp mtk etc. to piss you off.

, even i, saracen slash make good fights to an unbuffed sb, i win more than lose, IF hes solo, ah no dont hit
