Yeah, I don't think there's a continuous off-road route though. There are long stretches though. If you go from Ticknock you can follow the fire roads (literally off road tracks for forest fire protection) to Glencree - Ballinastoe - Vartry - Devil's Glen to Ashford. I've done bits of it around Devil's Glen and Ballinastoe (walking these days, bikes years ago) and it's pretty nice.

I'm not sure if it's completely joined up yet but you can certainly cycle from where I live in North County Dublin down to Greystones in Wicklow on dedicated off road lanes now.

I did a module on suicide and infanticide in medieval Europe at Uni..

I went into it like 'oh they'll just kill anyone that kills their kid' - turns out no, they were actually very forgiving - mainly due to the 'weakness of the lesser sex', but I guess you could argue its very early understanding of post-natal depression (although I have no idea if that's the case in this one).

I haven't followed it in depth but from what I gather she lead the kids one by one down into the basement and strangled them while her husband was out collecting medication. Do they want another shit kicking? they're military gear is old/less modern than ours, they have less active military personel and we've got a garrison on the falklands already + various defensive structures. Argentina would get utterly shit on.
