@DaGaffer - don't suppose you know if there's any off-road/cycle lane/green lane routes from Dublin down to the Wicklow mountains do you?

Yeah, I don't think there's a continuous off-road route though. There are long stretches though. If you go from Ticknock you can follow the fire roads (literally off road tracks for forest fire protection) to Glencree - Ballinastoe - Vartry - Devil's Glen to Ashford. I've done bits of it around Devil's Glen and Ballinastoe (walking these days, bikes years ago) and it's pretty nice.

I'm not sure if it's completely joined up yet but you can certainly cycle from where I live in North County Dublin down to Greystones in Wicklow on dedicated off road lanes now.

Danke.

To be fair. I've just rocked up to a sneaky camp on Anglesey and it's been harder going than I'd like. No frame bags, everything in a rucksack. Heavy.

After a ride to Holyhead tomorrow to catch the ferry, Ticknock might be as far as I get :)

This btw, is why Trump wants Greenland so badly. Perfect place to build datacentres, naturally cold + loads of other natural resources there.

That said, the bubble needs to hurry up and pop, its basically worse than Enron at this point, its completely unsustainable.
