Um the Second Amendment worked back then when guns were fucking next to useless. Let the American people rise up against their military and local police forces with access to far more deadlier weapons than some automatic guns.

Oh yeh I forgot the Second Amendment means all those citizens can just jump into their fighter planes, Apaches, MBT, access their satellites and make a proper stand.

Even if a military was 100% loyal to orders, rather than the family members they'd been told to massacre, people wouldn't line up, like idiots, on some sort of immovable small battlefield, where everyone can see each other.

It's a nonsense idea.

These people are largely fighting law enforcement and they can't be deployed everywhere all the time. If the public was armed not only would the massacre not be ongoing right now, the Iranian revolution would be over - and the Ayatollah likely dead (or in Russia by now).

Oh ffs. Absolute bullshit and literally not what the Second Amendment was for. It was about having a cheap army, not "death to tyrants", but of course 2A apologists always ignore the first half of the Amendment.

And I'd also point out that Iran managed to have a revolution in 1979 without the Second Amendment.
