Primarily a road bike but I don't want a "racer" I want to attach a load of shit to it and go bike camping too, not quite raw off-road but the odd bit of forest.

I'd also quite like some sort of USB phone connectivity for telemetry gubbins, or at least charge ports. I have no idea if there would be a cap, but I would probably want to go up to £2k with maybe £500 of my own money on top. But would want a frame and bags included in that too.

Also, I don't want it to be shit looking, I have at least some dignity left. I will even wear a hat.

Not road. Gravel bike. - all the benefits of roady thing, specifically made up for putting your camping shit on it and turning left onto a fire road. Right up your alley m8.

Sonder Camino from Alpkit - they will also fully kit you out with bikepacking bags. UK based company (Nottingham) - they've branched out. You do outdoors so you'll have heard of them.

Or Cotic Cascade or Escapade?

(I've had two Cotics and I love them both. They're a great company. I've got a titanium hardtail MTB based on their solaris with racey tyres - I can spank my mate on his gravel bike).

Personally, I don't like drop bars. I'd want something with flat handlebars. But you can mix n match. If you ring cotic there's a good chance you'll end up talking to Cy - it's his company. They're pretty happy to just talk bikes - tell 'em what you want and they'll build it for you - no bullshit. No hard sell.

Vids on the product pages for cotic :)

The Cotics in particular are gorgeous steel things. Steel's their thing. Rides nice - and it's still light. They make 'em out of Reynolds 853. Cool bikes and boutique enough that you'll turn heads :)

Not dissing the Sonders tho.

Has to be an ebike. A man wants an Ebike.
You've struck out here then. :)

I've got two things for you to consider before you definitely choose ebike (other than expense - add at least a grand).

1) Multi-day bikepacking trips are out of the window with an ebike - they don't have the capacity and are a pig to pedal once you're out of juice.
2) Assist is limited to 15mph. After that it's all on you - and on a gravel bike you get to 15mph really, really easy. It's why the neds (Job) all try to derestrict theirs - but if you cause an accident on a derestricted ebike it's clinky time. So - you might find an ebike frustrating in that if you want to go faster (and around you I suspect it's largely flat?) then it'll be under your own steam on a heavier bike.

In the meantime, may as well watch the vids for bikepack porn commute fun ;)

The EU is not the same as an electorate. That's a false equivalence. It has rules and members could get together to kick out a member who doesn't follow them. Nazis who fiddle their own elections and undermine efforts to curtail the protagonist of Europe's biggest war should be kicked out.

Open dissent in the ranks of his own party. Good stuff.

They still have Wimpys?

Think they still have Quick instead.

There is a Wimpy 10 minutes from my house however.

Oh and a Taco Bell, but I'd rather have Old El Paso at home tbh.

Taco Bell is about as Mexican as Subway is a sandwich.

Even their hottest food is bland. What a waste.

Bloody Americans and their "sense" of humour
You make a clever joke on a US server....silence....tumbleweed
Someone mentions "peanut butter" and "dog's butt" in the same sentence and they wet themselves laughing

In fairness it isn't supposed to be Mexican - it's Tex-Mex, which is a slightly different thing.

I get reminded of the difference constantly when we go to a proper Mexican and I start grumbling about the rubbish soft tacos they sell.

We can do both tbh.
Fair. But it's hugely concerning, no?

Do you think our newly anti-immigration countries are taking a leaf out of that wanker Elon Musk's book and thinking we need to reverse our population decline through a long-term increased birth rate? Why would Blighty start leaning towards the "pro-life" agenda?

Playing to an increasingly radicalised Tory membership to win the crown?

Toyed with the idea of installing Genshin Impact on my phone...until I found out it requires around 20 GB to run
(apparently you can save quite a bit if you delete the Asian voice language modules)
Still need a very high end spec phone to run it lag free
I think it still runs hot unless you got one of those fan-cooled mobiles
