I got slated for pointing that out.
I still disagree with it.
I haven't read who's made the report but I suspect it's another 'see, we're not racist' thing.
I've worked at one of the best schools in the UK which is full of (yes, full of 'em) first generation Indians where they have massive aspirations and do really well. I don't think the school not the Government can take much credit for their success tbh.
I've also worked at a middle class Indian School where they massively underperform because the overwhelming attitude is 'do you know who my dad is?'.
And I've worked at mainly white working class schools where the aspiration is extremely low.
Then you've got mega funding for London super schools for a very long time which the rest of the UK has been very jealous of.
In all honesty I think that kids who come to the UK half way through their education are the worst off, when I were at school kids like that would be taken out of normal lessons to work on their English, now it seems there's very little of that provision available, I even had kids telling me yesterday how weird it was that a new Greek kid was sitting in French lessons when he couldn't even speak English, waste of time.
I still disagree with it.
Facts and figures trump personal experience.
- At GCSE, in 2019, 18% of white British pupils on free meals achieved grade 4 in English and maths, compared with 23% for the average for pupils on free meals
- For university entry, 16% of white British pupils on free meals get places, compared with 59% of black African pupils on free meals, 59% of Bangladeshi pupils on free meals and 32% of black Caribbean pupils on free meals.

It looks bad to us normies but nice to hear the opinions of a proI think GB News is doing a brilliant job.
Of showing just what happens when you crew a TV station with amateurs and non-professionals. Of what happens when you don't use PSC/ENG crews for your live links, relying instead on bottom of the ladder reporters with iPhones, iRigs, Radio Shack microphones and zero lighting.
It's fucking hilarious how technically shit it is.
I've always rated Andrew Neil since I think he is a good interviewer, but I've not watched GB news and have little intention to watch it. I mean I read some where that they've got Dan Wootton who last time I ever caught a glimpse of was doing entertainment or something on Lorraine.
Who gives a fuck about production quality in a news service?
