Someone on Facebook shared an image from 'British and Proud' which was basically a picture with a caption of 'I would love to go abroad, not work for a couple of years and just travel.'

lol.

Fuck. I knocked someone up. She is 22. She said: "Don't sweat, I'm having it removed"

I'm starting to think there's two sides to the coin that is Tinder..

Not really sure what you're saying here, you saying she's retarded or it's a non-news story?

I really don't see the issue.

if people dont want to shake hands that should be up to them, cant force people to shake hands (the examples at bottom of article are worse, algerian denied citizenship in france because of not shaking hands, thats fucking petty)

I have no comments on her or the job-thingy. Just the fantastic quote from BBC that made me laugh. BBC is retarded!

Sweden's labour court found the company was justified in demanding equal treatment for both sexes - but not in demanding that it be in the form of a handshake only.

Fair enough.

I think it all depends where you are and who you are dealing witb doesn't it. If you for example go to Japan and wish to show respect to an official person then you would take on their customs and bow to them if that is what they would expect?

Like the protocol when meeting the queen

It's like some situations you are introduced to a women and they lean in for a kiss on the cheek or you may have gone for the handshake.

Interesting that you brought up the queen.

I would definitely not follow protocol - it's designed to show your deference to her superiority. So fuck that. Just because her great great granddaddy was a mass murderer and wasn't averse to killing people in the buildup of massive inheritable wealth doesn't make her better than anyone.

I'm not a fan of people mandating what's expected of other people. If people are happy to go along, then fine, but if not then I'd much rather we were conditioned from birth to find that fun and interesting, rather than shockingly offensive.

Ive never read GQ, is this level of snobbery the norm?
I dont like tats..but holy shit.

Tony Parsons: tattoos are a stain on the nation | British GQ

Old article (from 2012) but I honestly can't say I disagree with the analysis. 99% of tattoos are utterly shit, bad art and tragically banal. If people want to get them, fill your boots, but that doesn't mean most tattoos are objectively good, because they're self-evidently not. "Oh, but my tattoos all have meaning to me" is the usual counter, fine, still doesn't mean they're good (and honestly, I'm looking at most of them and thinking the only real personal meaning they could possibly have is "I have no imagination whatsoever").

She said..' Having a tat thesedays is a clear sign you are mainstream, they should say underneath..'I also have a mortgage'.

If they are programmed correctly by humans in the first place.

And if its an AI learning algorithm then the computer makes loadsof mistakes finding out the right way todo things as it learns.

Only humans make mistakes, its an incredible ability linked to our unfathomable relationship with our brain and self awareness.
A scientific calculator could in theory make a 'mistake' if a logic gate lost a nought or one, but it would nearly always just lock it up...the problem would be obvious.
Humans can fuck up and everyone thinks its fine.
