I notice on their website that they're complaining again about "unelected judges". Who the fuck thinks it's a good idea to elect judges?

Yup..surely the law is the law..though I suppose people suspect that when the law reaches a certain point, it comes down to perception and opinion.
Those judges will eventually have to make a call as to wether various parts are relevant or not.
British law is a cesspit of overlapping language and previous guesses.
So when you realise the president of the courts wife runs a pro EU website, and tweeted that brexit was a disaster, also he and many of the others have strong pro EU opinions.
You can expect people to go ...hmmmmm.
The supreme court was brought in by Blair and unlike many countries, no scrutiny of their opinions are brought into the selection process.
Basically they were introduced because of terrorism and that has come back to bite the very people who backed adjusting the legal process for their own means.

Why do you says it's fears, that is simple numbers ..net migration 300K+ people in one year..that's Manchester in one year.
It is beyond biblical actually..the migrant speed is 1000X times faster than anything in history.
But you know racism.

Faster than light? Don't think so.

I could put up a graph that shows that the world's population has nearly doubled since 1970. It stands to reason that, as the number of people in the world goes up, there will be more people moving around.

Yes it also stands to reason that as traffic increases, more people will be run over.
Do we just accept it or start to try to limit it.

Getting a handjob while driving should be a joy, on any road.

Disclaimer: Have had some wine and blaming it on the drink as @Scouse, @Job and @DaGaffer does every so often.

Not driven much in france but it seems the roads are quite unpacked. Except around major towns
Presume it's because it's so un populated compared to here. But I just floor it and drive. Have to make myself slow down, will be awful if there's a speeding reciprocal arrangement.

French motorways are fantastic. No lorries allowed on them on Sundays is also a nice idea. The only serious traffic I ever get stuck in is around the peripherique in Toulouse and that's usually only if there's an accident or I'm stupid enough to be trying to get somewhere during rush hour.

It's about half a Manchester, but, whatevs, it's still less than the population growth due to increased old people. But you know, demographics.

Ronnie looked like he was down and out and he goes and puts in a century to win it. I really thought Fu was going to win that but he had some shitty luck with that kick.

hmmmm Paris not Toulouse. Two loo's doesn't have a major ring road motorway unless they built it in last two years.

I didn't separate my thoughts very well but I didn't say it was a motorway. The first two sentences were "yay motorways" and the rest was about traffic in general. Toulouse definitely does have a major ring road (aka the peripherique), though.

Guy across the road bought a brand new sporty Astra yesterday, he didn't even make it home..he was t-boned at the lights 400 yds from his house by some smackheads doing a drug run.
So in all the shit flying, the smackheads told the police that he had used his phone to call his witness to turn up.
The witness turned out to be a senior civilian policewoman.
They had to cut his missus out the car and the smackheads Vectra's engine ended up in a garden.
Anyway they're all OK, just been to see the scene, they took out 20ft of a guys wall and half his porch, the medics said the Astras side airbags stopped any broken bones, but she has bruises six inches across.

Been a weird shooting in Finland, local violent nut job with rifle pulls up and shoots 3 women

Who happen to be two journalists and head of city council, he then sat and waited for police and accompanied them peacefully

No motive yet he hasnt said anything it seems, its also been made clear that the rifle did not belong to him but no word on where it came from

Tinfoil hat in me says that a shooting like that of promiment locals in a town near Russian border when tensions between Finland and Russia are high seems suspicious!
