Exactly. Free will. My father came to Sweden 14 years of age, and adapted, abandoned religion all together to survive and create a good life. So he is extremely criticizing of Muslims and Islam due to him being able to do it, why can't everyone.

Perhaps not naive, but very objective and stripped view. Sure, there's centuries of different thinking in between, but hopefully, slooowly and surely everything will be streamlined and turned into the movie Equilibrium.

How is it "objective"? Your view is based on the idea that Muslims will simply " become like us" through osmosis. There was a time when I might have agreed, but I've realised I've been working on the assumption that religion is one of those things we'll grow out of as a species, because if you're a rational human being then, yes, of course we will. But people aren't rational, and our values winning the day just doesn't feel like a given any more.

I don't have one. No, I don't think we should be bombing their countries, I never did, but I would definitely be taking a firm line on religion; no religious schools (for any religion, not just Islam), no religious accommodation in law, no charitable status for religions, nothing, and definitely no special protections for religion in regards to so called "hate speech". Religion is just an opinion and anyone should have the freedom to call it a load of shite in public.

Yes, that was my point @DaGaffer That humanity as a species will outgrow religion. I'm not sure how the ratio on how long we've had to evolve to this point in contrast to the more southern regions, middle east etc. I mean, they must get tired of that shit sooner or later. Not saying assimilate to western culture (Japan evolved to something completely different) but become a decent human being, going with the times.

Edit: I'm still thinking damage control, wall off countries and let time has its course. Africa, fucked, big wall. Middle east, partly fucked, wall!
