The new Topgear trailer...oh dear, it's gonna be bad, Evans just doesn't work at all, in fact Matt and the German chick would do it better alone.

Looks very similar to old Top Gear but with different presenters. Given the old format was getting a but tired, but the chemistry between the 3 of them kept it going, I'm not sure yet if that's a good thing.

What are you, a peasant ?

Swedish, bitch.

On a more serious note, you can more easily distribute the amount of paper you want, and have it in hand for a quick followup wipe. Very useful.

Funny, because if they featured one of the myriad over the top man-sheds you'd not have a problem and accept it as his escape.

Was it the mention of Narnia? I'm working class yet read all those books before I was ten...

I still have the Narnia books I read as a child. They're in pretty poor condition but they're a treasured possession.

Tried calculating how long it would take information travelling at light speed to reach earth from Ganymede

Distance from Earth to Jupiter: 928,081,020 km
Distance from Jupiter to Ganymede:1,070,400 km
Speed of light: 299,792 km per second

I get about 52 minutes... my brain's fried. Can someone tell me how wrong I am

Jury's out at the Hillsborough trials. I can't see anything new coming out afterwards, the questions they're being asked are so specific that the narrative is already set.

32 to 50 minutes depending on orbit.

Just looking for someone to blame...it's combination of mindless thuggery in football that caused them to put up fences and drunk people turning up late and pushing from the back.
I personally would never go near those places, thousands of pissed up idiots pushing through concrete tunnels into encased seating areas...holy fuck, it's stuff of nightmares to me.

The real travesty of Hillsborough is the endemic 'racism' against scousers by the Yorkshire police as they tried to cover up their actions, they blamed drunken yobbos, which was mostly true, and also very easy to do at a time when the football supporter was the scum of the Earth.
They were hardly our greatest export, and in fact to this day taint peoples view of Liverpool.

I know every kind of shit, I know around 10 of the families, not personally , but know them enough to recognise, I also know loads of people who were there and it beggars my belief they were still going to football matches after talking in the pub how they were nearly crushed in previous games.
They were just cattle to the Police and an awful lot behaved like that with a few drinks and mob rule.

Family members and close friends were there. You're right that concerns about actual crushes at that specific ground, along with it's general (woeful) state of disrepair etc. were voiced in the years previously.

The rest of the shit you're spouting are the old disproved tropes.

So what's supposed to be the end game of all this? Duckenfield goes on trial? All seems a bit moot 30 years after the event. But then I'm also not one of those people who thinks locking up 95 year old Nazis is a good use of anyone's time either.

So 30 years after the event and people are still coming out with the same tired old bullshit. It was not the fault of the supporters.

That's the point really, at what point does a crowd become a mob and who is responsible for their behaviour?
The reason people died is because people kept pushing from the back to get in, everyone was used to a crush, it was part of the experience and people often fainted at these events, it didn't take long for a crush to be a fatal situation, my wife said at standing grounds she would dread a goal because she couldn't breathe and had to fight to stay up during the celebrations.
My opinion is that a culture of jamming people in had developed and that both sides were to blame for the carnage, removing all blame from the fans is simply unfair.

They were pushing from the back because they were being guided in by idiots.

Who gives a fuck what your opinion is @Job, or the opinion of any 'man in the street'? That's why it's going through the courts now - so opinions now no longer matter and can resolutely be ignored.

Not that anything'll change - including opinions. That's kinda why I'm with @DaGaffer.

But then, I didn't lose a kid because incompetent police refused to let ambulances and medical staff to treat him when needed...

Nobody at the back was pushing, the people at the back had no idea what was happening at the front. You clearly don't know what you're talking about (again). The police opened an exit gate which led directly to the two enclosures where so many people died.

Even when an independent panel ruled conclusively that supporters were not to blame, idiots like you pick up your copy of the Daily Mail and believe whatever you like. Your opinion is worth fuck all, you're just a fucking clown.
