But you have still not posted the link.
this is true, so,
And for balance:
adding my own - this is the author:

Dutch physicist Dr. Kees le Pair, a long-time critic of the wind industry and author whose work is not peer-reviewed
But I'm not going to provide the link to that, just so @Job doesn't feel alone as he posts his obvious quackery.

It's not peer reviewed, hardly needs to be, two simple and widely accepted facts, it's simply the 'small print', they don't want you to read.

If its not peer reviewed he could write that wind turbines cause magical fairies to sprout from the blades that rain radioactive pee on the countryside

Peer review is not perfect but it aims to ensure the results of a study can be repeated if the same methodology is used, if its not repeatable within a certain limit then its not solid science, just quackery as Scouse put it

Well yes, but this isn't some experiment of his, he is merely quoting known facts and applying them to a very simple calculation an 8yr old could do.
The power used for installation and construction should have been spread over the lifetime, he was just using a year for effect.

Known facts from where? Research that is not peer reviewed or "known" facts?

I told my girlfriend she had drawn her eyebrows on too high.

She seemed really surprised

I don't think the Icelandic PM could really not resign after this interview...

Talk about getting caught out.

25 to 30% generation times are the figures, perfectly reasonable for wind.
Out of what's left, there is the obvious factor of unpredictabilty which reduces that generated powers ability to replace fossil, this author claims it is 38% , his figures are on the lower side possibly, but no one has it above 50.
Not including installation a 100mw wind turbine can only replace, at most 15mw of fossil fuel.

What annoys me about that interview is how one of the cameras hasn't been graded :(

Nowt to do with stones. He realised his time was up. Don't fuck with the icelanders, it's a small enough country to have social justice. They'd never let him live it down.

Without peer review I can quite happily write that wind turbines are a fucking useless way of generating electricity we can actually use, at a point when we want to actually use it. Not windy enough? No power. Too windy? No power. Can we turn them up when Corrie goes to a break and everyone turns the kettle on? Best of luck with that.

They are, however awesome at shredding birds and making the countryside look hideous, and they're even better at hoovering up subsidies for rich landowners, but practical use? Ie making electricity?

They are a bag of shit.

Along similar lines, I'm currently in Finland for work, so far we've seen lots of trees and speed cameras, but not a lot else.

Genuine question, if I were to come back as a tourist, what should I be looking at?

I wouldn't mind going, but there are many places I would visit before Pakistan

Unfortunately it is spectacularly dangerous for westerners outside of Islamabad/Rawalpindi and Karachi (and not so great in them). Its a real shame because its supposed to be spectacular. Iran on the other hand is also worth going to but is much, much safer for westerners. Definitely on my list.

Look at the shot that looks as pale as fuck. It's probably a Sony camera like an F5, it has a dynamic range of about 14 stops (that's about the same as the human eye). You use a process called S-log to write all that information to memory, but you have to then colour correct it (like adjusting the gamma on your monitor) so it looks normal on your telly. If you don't correct it (otherwise known as a grade), it looks washed out to shit - which is what's happened on that interview. Someone rushed a load of cameras in and shot it on S-log, rather than REC709.

Also, one of the radio mics was losing reception. I guess they didn't have a soundman there. They could afford to pay a couple of cameramen and a load of cameras, but couldn't be arsed with a soundman. Unprofessional, and it annoys me - especially for such an important interview.

Also, one of the shots appears to have some weird halo thing going on, like a poorly-shot HDR image. You can see it around the PM's head. I've never seen that before so I assume someone fucked something else up too.

Depends on where you are, if in helsinki region Suomenlinna is a large sea fortress off coast of helsinki, if in west Turku is a neat old city

Other than that the trees and nature are the big draw, Finland is a large mostly empty country

And the womens love foreigners

My experience of Sweden tbh, you can't see the scenery most of the time because the roads are cut through trees, great place if you like being bitten by mozzies though.
