I saw Jeremy Clarkson yesterday afternoon coming out of Le Caprice with a blonde woman. He was wearing his trademark jeans and jumped into a taxi :)

New Top Gear starts in Feb apparently.

XP SP3. I've just reduced the size of the system restore space by 2/3rds. Bloody hell my computer seems a lot faster. I thought system restore occupied space on the hard drive, so should make no difference to RAM or paging, right?

Went to Billingsgate fish market today. What a great place. Big live lobsters for ~12 quid. A kilo of fresh live crab for £4 or less. I reckon it's about a third of fish monger prices. They also had massive salmon that must have been about a meter long for £25.

You can get things you never usually see in fish mongers (and all as fresh as it gets). We got a kilo of langoustine for about a tenner, half a kilo of absolutely massive prawns (must be over an inch thick each!) for a tenner and 8 big oysters for £3.50.

Fucked X-Factor off, you have to queue for 4 hours in an NCP car park to guarantee getting in, I wouldn't queue for 4 mins in the warmth, let alone -1.

Is Lego making a bit of a comeback? I'm sure I've seen more of it around in supermarkets this year than previously... and I don't remember seeing proper TV ads before, either. If yes then.. awesome.

Technic can still sod off though, with all those bespoke pieces they make for each set nowadays. It used to be that you had beams, cogs (and pulley wheels), rods, wheels, motors and basic pneumatic systems and that was about it. When I were a lad etc etc.

Never went away....Lego continues to do great business, and they've been doing TV for donkey's years (the Lego Clone Wars Ad is my all time favourite). My only concern is that there's almost too much variety and too many brand tie-ins these days (even stuff...for girls!), but it seems to work for them.

Ah Gaff, I was going to ask you directly from a department store-y pov, I just seem to be noticing it a lot more this year than previously in supermarkets. I don't remember seeing as much of it (as in, so much shelf-space dedicated to it) in such mainstream places. I saw that ad with the boy and his dad building the house (with different architectural ideas) during the City vs Utd match and it made me think they are either pushing it harder (that has to be a pretty expensive time to be advertising) this year or it's popularity is climbing.

Lego for girls. What has the world come to? :(

Surely there's more porn in the ful version?

Either way - there's a lot of eye makeup in the jungle. And cheesy soft-rock.
