The nervous system is made up of two main components, the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system.

Confused. A presentation I was given says:

The cerebral cortex is the outer layer of the brain and controls voluntary movements.

Isn't that the cerebellum?

Agreed.

I thought the cerebral cortex was for logical/rational thought. The cerebellum controls motor function afaik.

I think it's to do with how they relate to each other, the cerebral cortex says ok this has happened we need to do this(ie. move that muscle there) and the cerebellum fine tunes it so you are more precise.

Ok, so how do you account for involuntary motor control? Breathing etc.

I won't google this as it defeats the objective of debate :)

Why is it that when I watch those things I get a constricting feeling behind my balls??

Anyway, disappointed they didn't jump. Also - why the masks on the face then their names in the credits?
Just sweaty palms. And an overwhelming urge to stop the video but never being able to do it.

This picture taken when that video I put a few pages back was made, does it for me too. Perhaps the mother of all selfies he took at the top.

I love shit like this. I've literally only had a fright at height once and that was because it was sudden (walked around a corner - no barrier, vertical drop - there was supposed to be a guard but he'd fucked off to eat Guinea Pig sandwich or something), and not too stable (on top of Huayna Picchu in Peru), other than that, yeah, I'd go up these buildings.

I really don't love heights but I regularly scale wind turbines. The most fun I've had was leaping from one while clipped to constant rate descender and hurtling to the ground, desperately hoping that I wouldn't shatter my spine at the bottom. Fuck me that was an exercise in trust.

Involuntary movement is controlled by the brain stem(heart beat/breathing etc)

So there's a website dedicated to when movies are released on DVD - and it said one is 'coming soon'

OK, you had one job.

Air Ambulance just landed next door. Didn't realise they were paid for by charity rather than government. Fucking disgrace.

Yeah I think Scottish ones are funded by the Ambulance Service but in England none of them are.

I think you'll find it is more complicated than that like most things. The London one is something to do with Barts Hospital iirc.

Ok, chemistry. Why is Potassium Bicarbonate KHCO3 when Bicarbonate is CHO3?
