When I was at school one of my teachers led us all into the tv room and made us sit down and watch Threads, she said it was something we all need to see and know about. When I was a kid this kind of thing used to scare the living shit out of me, so I refused to watch it and walked out of the room.

She gave me detention, which that day was being staffed by the deputy head, when he asked me why I was there he went mad, sent me home and the next day he made the teacher apologize to me

The iPad is the headline because it looks like a government commission spent ages and loads of money saying how you could use iPads and save £2bn a year or something. But then they were removed as a security threat. So the project was a total waste of money. But I think they are right, give some idiot minister and iPad and he will let his kids play with it and you never know what will end up on it. Any other tablet is the same.
