A lot of the people who bought PS3s bought them as media centres. They are taking away half it's utility and turning it into just a games console. So from a all in one solution to an outdated games system. Seem incredibly silly really.

The PS4 thing annoys me greatly because I stream cartoons and stuff to the console I have atm so my son can watch them, if I can't do that with the PS4 it's going to be shite for the bairn.

Obviously, but its an incredibly badly thought-out idea; even Apple (lousy format support notwithstanding) haven't blocked the idea of people using their existing content libraries, and comfortably sit iTunes alongside Netflix and your own streamed content on the Apple TV. And of course its especially stupid because of the obvious comparison to the PS3. It really surprises me because Sony's strategy was always "ownership of the living room", but this is a definite move away from that as people are going to need at least one more device under the telly.

I can't believe they would do it tbh, surely the only logical way to approach it would be to have your spangly proprietary content delivery system at the forefront but still allow other media (of any codec and format) to be watched as easily as possible (be it over a network or from plugging in a USB drive).

The Sony guy said he "had a discussion" with the PS4 dev team so it's not entirely off the table. I would be amazed if they stick with this decision.

Thinking of going on a massive fallout run, from 1 to vegas, no rush, but complete all.

Yeah they're fun, but really time consuming. Just have to hope november is "no social stuff" month

Still ahven't finished my ME3 from my mass-run, but it's about 80% done. Also got a bioshock trilogy waiting.

On a sideote; fullscreen 1960 fallout 1 is epic, needs a modpack but well worth the extra time´to install.
