Good movie, nice start of a franchise, excellent movie in it's time, bit outdated now and not really -that- great.

I have to disagree. I watched Predator last night on DVD. Cracking movie, even 25 years after it was made. Had it on full surround sound. There still isn't anyone in the business like Arnie these days. No one today has his screen presence. Sure, there are 50,000 guys who can walk around on screen with massive biceps & attitude, and swing karate kicks, but there's only one Arnie. Most of today's so-called action flicks aren't a patch on movies shot 30 years ago. Its all computer FX these days

Predator isn't outdated, they used simple special effects so it has aged very well. The dialouge, tension, characters, plot were all perfect. One of the best action movies of all time.

Predator is epic, i recently got it on bluray and it's fucking sick.

Predator isn't outdated, they used simple special effects so it has aged very well. The dialouge, tension, characters, plot were all perfect. One of the best action movies of all time.

It's not trolling, i just don't think it's that good compared to some of the new movies on the block. I'll make it clear though, as fans are hard of reading/hearing IT IS A GOOD MOVIE, don't mistake that for anything, group of peeps, case of beer and predator is a very fun way to spend the pre-bar party, but i just don't think it's worth the praise outside nostalgia and testosterone roaring(face it, it is one of those movies you beat your chest to and say "I aer mans!" )

This IS ALSO a taste thing, so we can't argue past certain point about it. I for one also liked P2 better then P1, another personal preference.
