So it was another lithium battery on the dreamliner...the one in the distress beacon..wtf..have they bought a job lot of dodgy battery packs?
If that happened during flight it would have been nasty..the fire crew had to rip the ceiling down and use a fire hose to put it out

The dreamliner is the first commercial jet to use lithium batteries - they thought it was a good idea as it saves weight/space.

Turns out it wasnt a great idea - the batteries heat up too much.

Theyve started knocking down all the decrepid housing around Liverpool football ground and a crowd gathered to watch.
This is excellent news..the place is a fucking shithole.

Bit excessive knocking down an entire city just for a football ground.

didn't the club run the area in to the ground by buying as many properties as possible and leaving them empty for a few decades?

Hmm, they didn't buy up "as many as possible"; it was worse than that; they just bought up houses here and there and shuttered them. And like a missing tooth, one decay leads to another. There's definitely evidence of unethical shenanigans from Liverpool down the years, but they weren't the only ones shuttering houses in the area.

Howard Macpherson, now 52, was the first to sell his house on Lothair Road to the club, in 1996......."Anfield was a good area, all the houses occupied, nothing like it is today," says Macpherson, who runs a garage, Aintree Motors. "The area started to decline in the early 1990s with the city's economic problems. But Liverpool football club accelerated the decline, by leaving good houses empty and boarded up. It wasn't a natural decline; it was engineered."

That area of Liverpool was going down the pan LONG before 1996. And it's a much wider area than Lothair Road that's a shithole...
