Journalist Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, a friend of Pryce, said she thought the media's treatment of her had been sexist.
"Too many people haven't realised how the loss of love, her wiring was jumbled, the storms in her heart were flooded," she said.
"She is the most extraordinarily gifted, sane, stable woman, but love unhinged her. It was just 'why didn't she go away quietly?' This society has no time for raging betrayed wives.

Stupid women in complete failure to see the ironing shocker.

"Huhne told Channel 4 News ahead of sentencing that his actions had spun into a "massive, devastating set of consequences for family, for career and for everything"." well derp. Who would've thought being a criminal would do that to you.

Yeah but lets be honest, it was swapping points, not murder. I know loads of people who've done it. The thing that fascinates me is how the wife, on paper an incredibly intelligent woman, would destroy herself just to make sure he goes down in flames. I know what they say about a woman scorned (and from what I've read Huhne is an utter cunt of a man), but fuck me what an idiot.

My record, between 5-6 kg Salmon in a River (adds a bit more power to the fish!).
Was an amazing feeling I can tell you, even if its not a WR Tuna :)

Sorry about the water on the lens :(

True but still if we start treating law as "only this and that", or based on how many people break that law...well...slippery slope. I know it's not exactly society threatening, but still own fault for doing it and if you're sentenced it'll bring it's own problems.

It may be a slippery slope, but its exactly how most people think. In the UK, most people break the law on a regular basis; speeding (something like 80% of drivers actually admit it); crossing the road, cyclists running lights, etc. etc. In this case I bet it was barely a conversation; "Darling I fucked up and got flashed by a speed camera, will you take this one?" "No problem". Ten years down the line, front page news and a prison sentence, not for the original offence, but for perverting the course of justice.

I love a bit of sea fishing when I get the chance. I never catch anything from the shore either :( I did manage a conger eel on a boat trip once though. It must have been about 5ft long.

Do you reckon they ate the tuna? :p

Still, nice to see a vile little cunt like him go to jail. I sincerely hope he has to share a cell with a big black bum rapist.

Oh yeah, from what I've read he's a total prick; but of course he'll go to a holiday camp, not pound-in-the-ass prison.

Just took out a package of bacon i was going to make and noticed that the packaging had a tear in it. Sure as bacon comes from godsent creatures of delicious goodness it had gone bad.

I've recently got into a habit of frying bacon and then using the bacon juiciness to make scrambled egg and put the bacon into the scrambled egg, it will kill me.

Mind you, I do mop up a bit of the fat so it's not -that- bad

In before it's revealed that he was somehow involved in or tried to cover up some child abuse scandal or other.

The only dirt I have seen about him other than being rabidly anti gay and saying gay adoption was child abuse was that he was accused of being in cahoots with the old argentinian dictatorship over the kidnapping of 2 jesuit priests who wanted to fight the junta (dictatorship).

I dont know if they were ever seen again tbh - lots of people disappeared as is common in South american dictatorships.

Edit - oh - tortured for 6 months:

The hearing of the Arch Bishop of Buenos Aires was held at 11am at the Metropolitan Curia for the trial for Bergoglio’s crimes against humanity during the dictatorship.
Bergoglio is to testify and deliver a statement about the disappearance of two Jesuit priests, Orlando Dorio and Francisco Jalic in 1976. The two were brought to the ESMA, the center of torture, when he was serving as principal of the Society of Jesus in Argentina.
Attorney Luis Zamora requested the Cardinal’s statement on 23rd September after the declaration of María Elena Funes, a former detainee of the ESMA, before the court.
This statement by Funes informed the court that the two Jesuits were abducted on 20th May 1967 after Bergoglio removed their religious licenses to preach in Bajo Flores as well as their protection. The two priests were kidnapped by uniformed military personnel stated the witness. The witness went on to state that Bergoglio must have sent a replacement priest to celebrate mass at the time the military abducted them, as he was never questioned. Dorio and Jalic then spent six months in captivity after being taken to the ESMA.
Although Bergoglio was called as a witness by the court, the head of the Argentine Catholic Church, based on Article 250 of the National Code of Criminal Procedure that declares that official dignitaries “are not required to appear” in the court. According to the second paragraph, depending on the importance that the judge administers to their testimony, the witness must “declare at his official residence, where it will move, or by a written report,” testify under oath.
Because of these articles in the National Code of Criminal Procedure, Cardinal Bergoglio provided his testimony which was not open to the public, before the judges of the fifth Federal Court (TOF 5) and the parties in his office in Metropolitan Curia, adjacent to the Cathedral.

He will still say God wants the islands to be returned to the country closest to them that did not exist when they were colonized. If he does then the COE should just elect a new Pope!
