Really nice actually, everything is homemade, even the buns and sauces. Rest is in a rather large doggy bag now, space for pudding though.

Greatest present ever.

A half finished ink drawing of my house by my Granddad, he died half way through producing it, beautifully framed by my sister.

Fresh raw bacon looks orgasmic. Pink, shiny, glistening. Full of porky tastiness.

Is raw bacon bad for you?

Same stuff as all the charcuterie/deli stuff, pancetta, salame, chorizo, etc just a lot thicker and not aged. It's better to eat the really thin stuff as it won't upset your stomach so much.

Raw is prolly bad. Most store bought is smoked though. I always eat a slice while making the rest :)

my bad: I refer to cured ham as being raw, but it's not raw, it's cured. mea culpa.

Another brilliant review section on Amazon for a banana slicer

"What can I say about the 571B Banana Slicer that hasn't already been said about the wheel, penicillin, or the iPhone.... this is one of the greatest inventions of all time"

http://www.amazon.com/Hutzler-5717-571-Banana-Slicer/dp/B0047E0EII/ref=pd_sbs_k_1

"After a horrific plane crash, I and 12 companions were stranded on a tropical island with no method to slice any of the bananas that grew on the various trees that littered the island. With no way to communicate to the outside world we were shocked to find that the company that makes these fine banana slicers delivered their product to the unknown islands in the Caribbean. In the three weeks before we had given up on trying to consume the banana's due to a lack of an efficient slicing means and had resorted to only use the overpopulation of the fruit as a means to pry open the coconuts. I must say with out this product we wouldn't be alive today, I owe everything I have to the 571 banana slicer. "
