Seriously, how can you even attempt to defend that? The cop threw the first punch (and just kept throwing them). I think the only thing the guy was "resisting" was a further kicking, and his partner wasn't shy with the baton either.

One more thing, how do American cops get away with being such fat bastards? At one point there were about ten of them in that room and every one of the fuckers was overweight.

Story goes something along the lines of this jewish bloke was offered refuge in the drop in centre of his local synagogue, as he was homeless for a while and had nowhere else to go. Some woman was unaware that he had permission to be there and called the cops. The technical implementation is irrelevant in the long run. Big problem for TPB putting stuff in the cloud is that the pool of cloud service providers is MUCH smaller than the pool of old school ISP/Hosters, and most of the cloud providers have a representation in countries with an aggressive rights environment, so these people will end up getting TPB banned as a client at source. Its inevitable. What they really need is the concept that's been bandied around since the start of the internet but never come to fruition, a genuine data haven.
