Top end goods always have a higher mark up than low end. They sell less of them so need to make more per unit to see the same profit. Production costs for those headphones will be higher than the cost to make a pair sold for £50-£100. But what does it matter? If you don't think they're worth that, don't buy some. If people do, they will. If no one thinks they're worth the price tag then they'll probably reduce it. But for people that use headphones a lot in a studio environment then they most probably are.
