Why a 1050w PSU?
The GTX 680 will take 300w at 100% usage and the i7 3770K 3.5Ghz 160w at 100% load.
Both at 100% for a long period of time won't happen that often
The rest of the system won't take that much more.
The rated 80 plus power supplies these days are more efficient when they reach their max load so a 600w using 500w will save you more than a 1000w using 500w

Pricey, but any good?

(Edit: just checked case specs: rather large...may have to pick something a tad smaller!)

IMO you would be better off spending half that and then upgrading in a couple of years. Go for a quality case, quality PSU and a good monitor.

Unless you do a load of video editing or something, I would go for an i5 (clock it to 4.5ghz or so), a 670 GTX (I think OcUK have the "windforce" one on offer atm, overclock it a bit and you will probably beat most 680s), 8Gb of RAM and a cheaper motherboard. I'd also ditch the sound card card unless you actually need it for something specific.
