Sure, neither of us can come to a conclusion, but as I say - he's got a track record of getting violent extremely quickly.

As it is he had very little to do with the recent revelations - which all came out when he was behind bars - but it gave him a thin veil of respectability when no such thing was deserved - all thanks to years of politicians suggesting there was nothing to see here.

But inciting violence? Bullshit. He's a public figure, he can and should be able to post what he thinks. If people commit violent acts, that's on them.

No one knows if he had a pop, that's the problem. My guess is he was a protester or something and he followed Tommy shouting at him as protesters generally do, either he's tried to hit tommy once he got close enough or Tommy had enough of him and just punched him.

It all depends on who you're dealing with, South Africa was pressured by sanctions which had the highest contribution to the end of Apartheid due to images of the police killing protestors.

Which is why it's frustrating with Ukraine and Gaza; Sanctions don't work with Russia, they would with Israel. We should be covering our eyes and giving Ukraine weapons, not Israel.

Tommy Robinson update - Apparently he has been released, there is no complainant and he (Tommy) is asking for the police to release the footage of what happened. He said he was advised by his solicitors not to go into details about it but he wants the police to release the footage - which by his tone I assume shows he defended himself, which may carry a bit of water since there is no complainant (meaning no one pressing charges I think?)

Yeah, one woman died but she refused to follow the evacuation order, assuring the pompiers she wasn't at risk and was found the next day, "completement carbonisé". I don't think anyone needs help with the translation there.

It was ~30km from here but it burned an enormous area: over 16,000 hectares, 1.5x the size of Paris, the largest area burned by a single fire since 1949. They're still looking for a cause but they know pretty much exactly where it started, on a very minor road between 2 little villages...



Crazy to think something that starts so small can do so much damage but the conditions had been (and still are tbh) perfect for fire to spread.
