Saw him standing in the cab so probably the reason, looked like a basic half filled tanker tipping, happens more often then one would think :p

Lucky lucky.

Oh yeah, and this;

Couldn't work now. Too many shoe boxes full of money in secret places. No I'm talking years from now. A gradual phase in of new technology. You can already pay for things by swiping your phone. Debit cards been around for decades. But there would be a D-day when paper money becomes worthless, by which time everyone will have the technology.

Look at the Euro. There came a day when the Euro became a country's national currency, and people had X years to exchange them, now the Deutschmark and Lira are worthless.

Certainly make it interesting for small time tax evaders.
Fuck that, so I couldn't give you a fiver for helping me out without somebody else deciding if it was ok or not because they can permit or deny what I can spend my money on because they control the system.

Stuff like this is fucking bullshit.

The same way they can stop you getting a fiver out the machine to give to someone.

Paper/metal money will disappear one day, plenty of organisations have working alternatives, Barclays, who have been working on it for years, it was magic wallet about 15 years ago when my mum worked there. Paypal have a tool too. I am fed up of having notes and coins, it's such a pain in the arse sometimes.

Eventually I could see it being some sort of embedded chip with stuff like that on, plus medical records, door entry systems and whatnot, maybe powered by the mind such as some computers are now.

Embrace the future and out cybernetic overlords.

Yes they can stop you getting a fiver out of the machine, the difference is that in the adjusted scenario the machine is the only valid option.

Given that machines weren't smart enough when my ATM card was being used by me in London and some scumbag who'd cloned it in the USA on the same day, I'm not going to jump both feet into the "wow, that's a brilliant idea" camp.

If you're fed up of having notes and coins then by all means don't use them but just because they're an inconvenince to you doesn't mean everyone wants shot of them.

Besides, one day you'll realise that virtual items only have virtual value, if say Barclays chose to press the delete button on your account and you've only got online banking and online transactions which are all gone and only an online form to fill in to tray and sort out the problem, good luck getting anything to eat.

I think I pretty much have, the only time I use actual money is in the pub and even then half the time I just open a tab at the start of the evening and pay on my card at the end. Saying that, I don't really visit shops any more either.

Been skimmed once but the bank stopped it the next day and gave me my money back straight away, Visa debit card.

Gah, why did it put "Photoshop, surely" in a spoiler all of it's own under the pic above? :(

Edit: And it'll be a sad sad day if and when physical money dies.

I'd say your bank is shit then. my bank(s) are extremely proactive where it comes to card things. my cc got blocked in hong kong because all kinds of alarms went off when it was used to pay for something there. ofc I was the one using it, but one phone call sorted that. also, once time i got a message from the bank saying my card had turned up on some dodgy list, and immediately sent me a new one. easy as can be imo.

Ego inflation day for me, all the people I know down in Sluttonville have said I've got 'hench' - Made me laugh. I still think I'm fat and fluffy, but people keep saying they can see all the work I've done in self improvement is paying off. If that's what it's like now, I'd love to see what it's like in 6-7 months when I'm done fully training (Going back into CKD for 2 months or so) - Would be nice to get my body fat down to 15% or so.

Just trying to get a diet plan which I can fit in with work and travelling, gym stuff is easy enough to do anywhere due to accessibility.

Just like horse and carts and the steam engine!

Horse and carts and the steam engine weren't methods of payment between two human beings. Cash is.

I like to be able to say to my sisters kids "do this for me, I'll pay you 50 quid" and them not have to pay income tax.

By the time cash & coins go, technology will have moved on so much, paying for stuff digitally will be as natural as sending an email.

20 odd years ago the only way to send a document to America without using FedEx, was a fax machine. Who sends a fax now?
