That's nothing! Lancaster Pilot in WWII jumped out the rear gunner pod without his 'chute because it was burned up. Fell 18,000ft and survived with only a twisted ankle. Didn't have 10 odd thousand boxes to land on either!
Never understood shit like that :p

Grandad had a similar story to this, although he never actually fought, he was training to do so, and they flew around the UK training, one time they did a fake bomb operation quite high in the sky, one of the guys fell out of the bomb hatch, they flew back, was like, he fell out, I think you should go search for his body, it's only like 2 miles away, so they go back to the pub to drown their sorrows, he's sitting there, with a pint waiting for them all, 'Y'alright lads?'

"Hey, sweetheart.

My name is Rich. I work as a accountant in one big company. And this moment I am interested in finding interesting, not foolish fellow to communicate with probable continuation.

I really liked your photos and info about you. So I wished to create this message. I all the time wanna have sex but I am not sleeping with everyone but only with guys who could impress and amaze me. So, you could invite me to go to the cinema if you liked my photo shots. I am waiting a message from you, darling?"

Could a cash-less society ever work? ie no paper money, everything you buy is over-the-air / swiped etc Or would it be an open goal for criminals?

Do you mean if like the world just started - bang, and we had the technology, or we just implement it now? - because it would be too difficult, what about Market traders, and giving your mate a share of money, it would mean that EVERYONE has to have the technologies in order to make it work.

Couldn't work now. Too many shoe boxes full of money in secret places. No I'm talking years from now. A gradual phase in of new technology. You can already pay for things by swiping your phone. Debit cards been around for decades. But there would be a D-day when paper money becomes worthless, by which time everyone will have the technology.

Look at the Euro. There came a day when the Euro became a country's national currency, and people had X years to exchange them, now the Deutschmark and Lira are worthless.

Certainly make it interesting for small time tax evaders.

Theres no real reason a market trader can't have a mobile card machine. Its hardly beyond the realm of possibility. And isn't some bank or phone company or something at the moment making a big deal of being able to send a friend money in seconds over your phone? It could be implemented now if it had to be imo and over the next 20 years i bet it will happen pretty organically.

Yeah its gotta happen. Everything is being reduced to 1's and zeros. Do you still think newspapers will be around in 50 years? 100 years? Books I can see hanging around for quite some time, but eventually, they too will all be ebooks. Sidewalk and roadside advertising are increasingly electronic now. The old paper and paste are being shelved. Its just a case of the old generations being replaced by ones who have grown up with everything digital.

Who these days hand-writes letters? You send an email, right? Who had even heard of debit cards 60 years ago?
