Probably a class thing. Absolutely no research here but I seem to recall that Football is historically a working man's game; whereas Rugby is traditionally the sport of the upper classes.

Not that it excuses the behaviour of these morons. At least you don't see that level of violence and racism in the game over here anymore.

no you don't see it because they clamp down on it so strongly, doesn't mean for one minute that people aren't thinking it privately and in underground and not so underground groups, we ave simply brushed it under the carpet.
A european thing? i think you need to see argentinian football violence.

You don't get any of that shite at rugby matches. Crowds are well behaved. Haven't seen any Nazi salutes at the Crucible. Don't see ppl chucking darts at opposing fans at cricket. Just football. Maybe because you don't need a lot of brain cells to watch or understand football. Maybe its a class thing? A European thing?

You've obviously never seen the mass brawls in Twickenham after an England Wales match and hours of drink time then, have you?

All sports have incidents of crowd violence, its just that football is far and away the most popular spectator sport in the world, so statistically you're going to see a lot more football-related incidents. Is definitely not a European thing (Latin American football violence has a very long history - it even started a war once), but it may be a class thing (US violence is generally in blue collar sports, and particularly NFL and NHL games). NB. there was organised crowd violence (e.g. rival gangs) as far back as Roman times, and they make modern crowd violence look like two brownies pulling each other's pigtails.

It's also by far and away the most popular and so incidents are more likely to be frequently seen.

Going to be starting CKD again from Tuesday (5/6/12) and am probably going to log it to see how it goes... Did it semi-strictly at the start of the year but found it really hard keeping the cals/fat/protein in check, horrible headaches most nights - Lasted 2-3 weeks (with 1 carb-up night a week)

Recently clocked the 14st (just over 88kg/194lbs) and have decided I need to get back down. Average about 21.5% body fat (6 checks in 6 months, ranging from 20% to 22%). Went from 13 1/2st to 14st with a half % body fat increase, so muscle-mass seems to be the cause, not fat-fat.

Goal is to get back down to 13st (or as close to) and try to get to 15% body fat (4.5kg/.9lbs of body FAT, not weight, to lose) without any major muscle loss, and maintaining weights.

Shall be interesting, or at least challenging... Log it on FH and make it publicly(/FH private) or public on my site? Mmm..

EDIT: Why the old FH blogs thing would be quite useful here.

Related to above. The diet (Remember, is high fat but low carb) is:

breakfast: 3x eggs, 4x bacon, cheese
lunch: 1x tuna, mayo
post-gym: 50g protein shake, water
dinner: 2x chicken, handful of broccli/cauliflower, 4x bacon, cheese

The only real carbs are from the broc/cauli - Which I loathe, so I could cut them out - Other nutrients come in tablet form if needed.

The routine is as followed:

M: Cardio: 2-3km run @ 7-8km/h (136-148 bpm to be in the 'burning zone', which is a good few km/h slower than I usually do) and a 2-3km row (Generally 2:20m per split at casual pace) OR replace the run with the same distance on a cross trainer.
T: 'Arms' (Biceps/Triceps) + row
W: Cardio (Same as M)
T: Chest and Shoulders + core + row
F: Cardio + row
S: Rest / Full Body (Pretty heavy leg session involved) + core + row
S: Rest / Full Body + core

Pretty strict. =| Usuallly swap the Friday and the Tuesday depending on what's happening at the weekend and will either swap the Wednesday for a weekend day due to being shattered from work. But it's pretty much above.

sounds pretty solid, but I would recommend dropping your 'row' for deadlifts and doing heavy barbell squats which'll be better than heavy leg stuff like presses + core work.. I don't work out as much these days but i've still got a visible 2 pack from the heavy squats (never used to do any core work XD) and my diet's pretty random

The "WD" in WD-40 stands for Water Displacement.

There. You've learnt something.

It's made by the rocket chemical company and used to have a rocket on the can.
I miss that rocket.
