Not a fan of the band but thought this was a great thing to do.

Green Day did that at Roskilde Festival as well. One for the drums, one for the bass and one for the guitar. Afterwards the ones playing bass and guitar got the instruments. One went home just after the concert, the other one went back to his tent put it in his sleeping bag with himself and hugged it all night
