Why don't they wear basejump chutes, I mean why risk death for something with no gain except kudos in the climbing community.

Because they’re quite heavy, affect your balance and probably wouldn’t work anyway (if you fall you can’t push away).

Most of the times if they fall, they do so with no notice, and most times tumble against the side of the mountain and hit ledge after ledge, making it useless and only weigh them down. They would need to be far up and make a conscious effort to jump away from the wall.

I think falls are caused by exhaustion..cant go up or down, arms and legs reaching their limit.
In that situation you could use your last strength to kick away.

Nope. Most peeps that died did so when they were climbing casually, not from exhaustion but from just relaxing too much and making simple mistakes. Experienced climbers don't get exhausted as such.

Their family probably have though.
I've done some extreme stuff but always felt that there were sufficient safety protocols.
Life's not life without risk IMO. And one person's risk is another person's yawningly-dull existence.

My family wouldn't dream of doing what I do. I'd rather die than live like them.

You gotta live how you gotta live...

Vote for lib dems?
Least risky voting strategy. Centrist party that can't get a look in in our polarised world.

Held the tories back. Look at the shitshow without them.

The wife has decided to give up the booze for November, and in an act of support and solidarity, I said I'd quit the cigs at the same time. One week later, and I've had a grand total of 8 since then, which considering I was on 20 a day before, I am quite proud of that.

I've replaced the cigs with heets so still getting my fix, but my sense of taste has come back already. 6 of those 8 were due to a flat battery on my iqos, and I didn't really enjoy them.

Just need to get myself a decent vaporiser for other stuff, and I reckon I could go smoke free.

Paypal have banned Tommy Robinson.
I guess we're headed down the same road as China, where you earn points for being a good citizen and have luxuries removed for not towing the line.
Maybe Scouses bitcoin could be the saviour of free speech.

Really?
Yeah, the Note 3 isnt too clever.

I've tried stock camera, lots of alternative camera apps, different settings, replaced the plastic lens cover. It's just not very good. A friend came over with her Galaxy 8, and the 8 took much better pix.

Every new iteration just tweeks the old spec slightly. Not enough to spend £900 on it.

Name a recent new phone release that actually made jaws drop because it was so awesomely superior to the previous model.

This is why I'm actually coming round to the 2 year upgrade idea, as new phones are incremental updates, but give them a generation or 2 (or 4 in Sony's case) and it's usually worth upgrading. I went from my old Z5 Premium (good phone but shocking battery) to an XZ2 and the difference is huge - loads faster, better camera, and fairly ridiculous battery life. Even though I cain it arguing with people on the internet, it will last 2 days, easily. The old Z5 would be spent by early evening on the first day.

Obviously, but giant tech firms are in control of immense power and are making their own morality decisions.
That is not good for anyones future.

Made another roast chicken this morning.

The gravy is unbelievable - a meal in itself.

Did you tell them conversationally, or did you ask them to make a note that you're having a large sum of money paid in, that you want a note made of it because you're worried that your account might get frozen because of it?

Anti money-laundering rules require that unexpected and unexplained large withdrawals or deposits sometimes get held up.

If you tried your mobile app, of course you're locked out - once an account is frozen, it's frozen - for all methods of access (for obvious reasons).

It's a bit shit that a phone call can't sort it out - if you can identify yourself and tell them where the money is from it should be relatively simple to sort that out. Barclays did the same with me over the phone when I transferred 20k out. Rang 'em up, told 'em I was going to transfer the dosh and I didn't want it holding up - they said "thanks for telling us, there should be no problem now"...

It just relates to me of the future when all the banks are gone and all youll have is robot call centres.

That's a bit shit, and I'm guessing, not true. If you were abroad and your account was locked, of course they'd unlock it (its happened to me a number of times). Unless they're actually saying the account is under investigation; you are a Scouser after all ;)

Its because I havent passed the security for telephone banking.
They can only confirm it is locked and get back to me on Monday.
Basically I cant prove who I am and the nearest open branch is 40 miles away.

Well...duh. What else are they supposed to do?
Yep. It's all your own fault too @Job:

everytime I apply they say my signature doesnt match.
Ive tried three times..
So you're aware there are authentication issues with your account, you've failed to deal with them (turn up in a branch with the relevant documentation and ID so they can verify and fix the issues) and now when the predictable happens and the bank locks your account because it can't identify you're not a criminal, you blame the bank.

It's probably the fault of windows 10, actually.
