He was sacked for not telling them he hadnt made the delivery.
He has every right to not deliver them..his taxi.
As a wider issue, you might question his motives...maybe anti war?
Probably not, but Im pretty sure he hangs around with a lot of people who share his views.

Does that mean that every Muslim who dislikes the Western armies for their role in pretty much every middle eastern country is a terrorist?

I think that's the exact type of ignorance that caused the bloke to lose his job, no doubt the taxi firms Facebook page was full of 'Terrorist' and probably a few mentions of Sharia law or something.

Ramp it up to terrorist straight away..why not.
Whats the reality of perception here, you said he was probably muslim, which gloriously gives your inner thoughts away.
If he did it because he hates the army and its connection with western military aggression, thats his call, but people fear his mindset is part of a wider cultural view by his community.
Liberal calm heads would say thats not proven.
In the real world..if he is a muslim..he shows he despises infidels and has wide collection of family and friends who agree.

Why are you calling me out for 'ramping it up to terrorist' but that's what you're doing?

You seem to be reaching for non-existent commentary there.

Off to Copenhagen for a couple of days for a conference, where's good to go for a pint? Never been there before.

I just find it interesting that you can be sacked for having a view on something.

Sure, the guy was technically sacked because he lied about doing a job - but come on, he got sacked because a bunch of middle aged mums on council estates pressured the company on social media.

I just find it interesting that you have to subscribe to certain elements of society in order to be considered 'truly British' by certain groups in certain.

You talk as its some curious British trait.
Nip over to Japan and see how long before they accept you as Japanese.
Pun in 10 did.

That's not what I was getting at; it was jumping from there to this:

No-one went there except you.

Whether he was sacked for his politics or because he crapped on his employer's business to make a point doesn't make him a terrorist, and unless I missed something, nobody claimed it did.

In reality we have a pretty sketchy BBC report (as often befits their local news coverage these days) and no real idea what actually went on, and I take a fair bet all those keyboard warriors on Facebook don't really know either.

The woman gang raped in Yorkshire two weeks ago..all a bit strange, but she has admitted they raped her on a country after presumably hiding the actual rape and calling it assault because of whatever personal reasons.
So the police have asked the public for info on the men...with no descriptions of age, appearance or accent.
Make of that what you will.

Only the tabloids and the local press are covering the story..
Also make of that what you will.

To be fair, I never went 'Terrorist' the only assumption I made was that he was an anti-war Muslim for obvious reasons.

You literally said the word "terrorist".

I was responding mainly to Job's (I actually wrote Trump then) 'As a wider issue, you might question his motives...maybe anti war?
Probably not, but Im pretty sure he hangs around with a lot of people who share his views.'

You don't have to be a genius to see what he's alluding to.

Im guessing he has a wide circle of people who agree with him after announcing such a devisive opinion to strangers, it was bound to make the news and was nothing more than a protest.

Abu Sayfillaah said the traditional symbol of respect "supports British troops who are killing Muslims" and warned followers wearing a poppy would make them an "apostate from Islam".

The radical preacher who lives in Britain has made supportive comments about Islamic State (ISIS) and repeatedly moaned about life in the UK.

There are active groups like muslims against the crusades, who are anti anything celebrating british troops.
But all he did was refuse to take a box of poppies, its hardly a jihad in the making.

Got a little roast chicken in the oven. I put a lemon up its bum.

A few potatoes, seasoned with coarse sea salt and pepper are roasting on a bed of vegetables and chopped bacon, which will become the gravy after the bird has fully roasted.

:)

They shouldn't have been arrested, but then the law in the UK is fucked up. But make no mistake - they are absolute fucking despicable cunts.

Nice to see a quick glimpse of the st george cross in the background. It's definitely not a flag associated with and used by thick racist wankers at all.

I would have thought malicious communication would have been used there..another catch all for public outrage.

If anyone should be arrested over Grenfell, it should be the people in charge of putting people in buildings that the fire brigade dont have equipment to tackle fires in.
But no..lets arrest a gang of brain dead idiots with a paper model.

Anyone want to post a Grenfell joke in the bad taste joke thread?

Maybe not.

I like it when people love the Tories but then get angry when people die in social housing.
